Gelion - where is the bottom?23 Mar 2023 11:23
I have been keeping an eye on Gelion [a battery company]. They have a promising Lithium Sulphur and Silicon Anode offering that promises to double the energy density and nearly halve the cost of existing lithium batteries.
Listed a year and a half ago at £1.50; went to nearly £3 and has dropped to 40p. The significant shareholders when the company was listed are still onboard, and the new CEO has been putting his money where his mouth is.
At least a year's cash on hand, and there is a lot of GOV money sloshing around the sector. IF (and it is a BIG IF) they emerge as one of the new battery tech leaders, the current m/cap of just over £40m will look like one of the bargains of the next few years.
But where is the bottom? Volume has dropped to nearly no trades a day, so the price could move fast if there is buying or selling. Tempting, but timing a buy of a share like this [low volume, no incoming cash and tech not yet accepted by the wider market] is an art form. I suppose that is what Watch Lists are for...
