yes, but nobody believed Putin would attack other than just pushing his toys around which slowly but surely
he did to the point that he had nearly all of his army placed around Ukraine borders with Russia and Belarus.
By that time (19 days ago), he went for it and on the very first day of that attach, the DowJones dropped over
the course of few days by about 6000points taking down with it the top US stocks that make the DowJones
move just as much up and just as down too depending the market sentiment and other factors.
The US bear market as you say its due to come has also been said when the covid 19 pandemic was all over us.
So, imo, I see the same gyrating events about to repeat again but this time its more risky due to high energy costs mainly caused by the Russian war in Ukraine. Had the war never started, the oil & gas prices would had remained subdued. So, I blame the dire consequences of the inflations costs on Putin. However, Capita has never been as stock that was expensive and the company has continued to recover throughout the Covi19 and will also with Ukraine war albeit at a slower pace than with the covid pandemic due tot he fact that with Covid we knew the devil that rocked the world economy. However with Putin still continuing his war, nobody knows where it or will end. That is the most worrying factor for all related attached or that were till weeks ago still depending of Russia oil & gas exports now heavily sanctioned and blocked. That's real truth about capita share price frustration. Just give it a few months and hopefully the Ukraine war will be behind us albeit we will be part of the refuge rehousing task force as it will be for other European nations like Poland, Ireland, ect ect. Time will pass, but the scars of the Ukraine war will never heal that we will be carrying in our saddened hearts after watching those awful events.

whoknowswat, so funny. But you forgot to reveal the full picture that nobody knew that Russia was going to take down the Ukraine nation in all in invasion and now a bloody War. Strangely, every stock that sat up in December fell really hard as soon the markets got the full notice that Putin has attacked the Ukraine sending the stock market into a spiralling downward fall that many thought would crash the stocks to £0,$0.

Therefore, no stock was saved apart from the gas, oil, nickel, copper, wheat and other commodities that have heavily relied on Russia to export it. Now, that's the real truth that got us down to the same levels when the world thought Covid19 would had wiped the stock markets and the price of oil too if you remember at all what happened in early 2020

Hi joteller, please note that notaflipper has been known to post more in the negative than in the positive direction for when it comes anything to discuss about Capita future outlook. So, don't pay too much notice to their slightly off putting comments.

Anyhow, the volatility in the trading stock market has returned and its currently reversing the early morning good feel factor across the US probably also because Russia is trying to sell their oil to India at a major discount. This would not be well accepted by the USA if the Indian gov goes ahead with any Russian oil deal.

Imo, if China decides to refuse helping Moscow, then Poo Tin days will be counted. Moreover, I really hope that if that did happen, that China doesn't end up playing the Western world pretending to avoid Russia demands whilst actually doing it through other means and be found out, because they would pay a higher price if they lied to us. Don't forget Covid and the Wuhan lab virus seen as the centre point of the Covid19 first ever virus leak that it's still denied by the Chinese Gov.

Hi, and thanks for your inspiring positive posts.
We need to remember that the damage done by the Covid19 pandemic and as of lately with the current Ukraine war, many well established fund managers had to diversify their investments or risk taking big losses even if this was for a temporary period of high risk. Many funds are now moving away from the bonds and returning their held back cash straight into equities.
Those funds manager that were running diverse investments across all trading sectors, have had follow their clients clear instructions as was with the Mercantile and River that then lost the £930millions mandate that resulted in them selling almost all (probably all now) that was held in Capita since June 2020. Their 5.3% was sold off to return the money back to those panicking clients probably because of the Ukraine war that might have resulted in WW3(hope never)and feared seeing their investment hit £0.
Therefore, they sold over 93,000,000 Cpi shares between the 22nd February and late January 2022. I believe that it was one of the real hard blows responsible for Cpi share price collapse.
Unfortunately, you all found out after I uploaded my Bloomberg Terminal images that had shown the background buying /selling activities that were unknown to us small time punters.
That's the beauty of those big funds. They have almost the latest data about most stocks and can do a more educated investment than we can. Anyhow, now that the markets are going to come down their high horses and take a chill pill, hopefully we will rebound upwards once the indices start climbing to retake lost ground without falling backwards(subject to the war Ukraine not getting worse).
If I were to estimate tomorrow share closing price just based on the overall good market sentiment,
I would expect to see a minimum of 24.6p but also a potential high of 25.6p. Let's get those peace talks done and dusted and we will be back to 30p.

Also, the Ukraine nuclear station has had its electricity restored and the risks of having a radiation leaking disaster has been avoided for the current time.
I'm expecting tomorrow a positive opening across the stock market in response to the Peace Talks and Nuclear Station electricity restoration.
