The dividend is now 22c annually, 5.5c paid quarterly. I make no recommendation regarding trading but I do recommend taking a look at YAU and deciding for yourself if you see all the good news that I see - strong cashflow, a rising dividend and exploration potential. .

In May we had a rather silly comment form handy gandy - he advised selling YAU to buy ECR. His comment was followed by a malicious one from MrFloyd. You will find these two on the ECR board. As I knew would happen, the share price action has shamed and discredited both of them and their scurillious attempt to discredit me has backfired on them as they have been exposed for what they are. Watch out for their sort.

Stock Croc says, AUY is engaged in production, development and exploration of gold in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia. The company is showing increasing profits over the past few quarters due to its increase in production and a surge in bullion prices. Factors like the European crisis in continuation with minimal U.S. recovery have added to the glitter in the stock. This company has a lower P/E ratio of 19.18 as against a sector average of 22.10 and an EPS of about $0.76. It also has a low beta of less than 1 implying a relatively low volatility of the stock vis-à-vis the market. Moreover, the company has also increased its dividend payout last year. It also generated huge amounts of cash flow allowing it to expand its business without accumulating debt. I have to admit that my earlier target for the sp was missed but all the PM stocks were hit by the big crash of May 2011. DYOR but I say find me another gold play that has loads of exploration potential AND pays a good dividend. ECR - good investment? Down from 1.8p to 1.3p = 0.5 / 1.8 x 100 = a fall of 27.7 % - wow. YAU - - increasing production - low cash costs - pays a dividend.

Low cash costs, increasing production and it pays a dividend - nice. I have been saying since last July that it could hit 900p by about Jan or Feb 2011. January is looking a bit ambitious but I still see 900p as a reasonable target for February and if you take into account the many opinions on worldwide economic factors, such as Euroland, the PIIGS, US debt, etc., the gold price ought to be heading much higher very soon so I even see a chance of the YAU sp hitting £10 around March this year. All speculation, DYOR.

This share usually has very low volume, if 4,000 are traded it has been a busy day, but yesterday and the day before almost 900,000 shares were traded, a value of about £6.7M. I cannot understand anyone selling this share, which appears to be about to rise sharply, unless they needed the money. Could it have been a big bank in trouble and raising cash? Just a guess, any other opinions / guesses why the sale?

The latest RNS from Yamana Gold announced yet another increase in the dividend. When added to the two increases announced earlier in the year, this means that the dividend is now three times last year's payment. How long will it be before the London market wakes up to this stock? My opinion is still that it could hit 900p by about Jan or Feb 2011. I am not an expert, do not act on my opinions, DYOR.

We do not know but I think he could be right about the price hitting 0.5p. I am wondering why we have not been told about the situation regarding the 14 August payment that was due as part of the Copper Flat deal. Could it be that the company has something to hide? If it was bad news, then the price could go below 0.5p but then again the right sort of announcement could make it shoot up to 2p in day. Since it could go so far either way on just one announcement, buying in here looks to me like gambling on the toss of a coin.
