Really looking forward to Wednesday for the TU , its quite an important week regarding the SP ! Considering the company is spending $1billion capex we are really due some good news ! Maybe Wintershall Dea is the start of it ;-) .

How will it be a shareholder hit ? as in we get sold for this cheap ? and then pick up some Wintershall Dea shares in return ?

Well it looks like we will possibly be buying them as BASF need to de-risk due to losses , not sure where we will find $10billion though ?

pretty much alines to what HBR are after. The fact Carlos Slim is here with us now gives me confidence something might actually happen ! Plus Wintershall have a presence in Mexico !

What happened to that 2billion deferred tax last year ? How will that help HBR in the future ?

Young people don't care about politics , especially what happens in the North Sea. Its just cr*p spouted by politicians to suit their own agenda which causes the damage ! Cant see how the EPL will be amended this time around however I can see some sort of tax support to both business (every sector including oil and gas) and CCS which will therefor improve hbr finances.

So there is no sunset clause?

From the EPL gov website - " The legislation will also include a sunset clause, which will remove the tax after 31 December 2025"

Starmer also said its paramount the country attracts private investment in order to make the green transition , WFT'ing the countries energy supply to the hilt right now wont attract any investment and they know that ! In his words also stated "Oil and gas is here for the foreseeable future" copying every word of Rishi's which i havnt heard him say before !
