From yesterday's offshore petroleum bill. What a circus. From what I can see the first vote was against the Bill but then they all agreed to have a third reading which is to follow

I have a feeling this will be a boring stock to watch from now which is absolutely fine by me ;-) only one way to go from here !

I recon that sell off on the trading update was fake , only 4 million shares were traded that day to make it move 10%. Won't take much for this to move to the 320's again

Yeah exactly Tyler , thats my thinking too ! while the SP is declining im going to sit and hold. The company prior to this announcement sounded very positive and right now they look to be sitting comfortable on their assets/reserves while debt remains very stable and the dividend is a given. 280p is a buy and even better at 270p. Watch the market and see how it reacts. From memory last time we were at this range the bottom was 270p and the SP soon went to the low 300's , rinse and repeat. Maybe we are in this range for a while again.

Youl get used to Jeff and his weird and wonderful world he lives in ;-) some of it makes sense so it's best to selective read his input here ;-)

What a daft comment. BASF can't take over Hbr, that will mean they own HBR's shares and Wintershalls in separate entities along with Wintershalls Russian assets...... come on man, if your going to de ramp then do it properly ;-)

4 million shares traded and we move 27p ! manipulation right ? i did not get my 280p but i will sit and watch and see how this all plays out.

I was ready for it Rookie ! just got to have faith in the product and read between the lines.

Well initially i thought 290p would be a good top up point but looks like i will get 280p now , payday tomorrow too so may as well buy more

The positive is that the deal is still on and technically nothing has changed there. What i would say though is that i always knew there would be fishy goings on regarding this deal , leeches waiting to load up at a shorter price and it seems CEO's do anything to get those leeches a better deal (the RR shenanigans come to mind) , its going to be one hell of a long year hear.

I think Linda is in with the bank of America , both pump it together and then dump it with a monotone trading update. Rinse and repeat. Eventually things will be straight forward but we still need to wait ! Saying that we are still in the 290's so can't complain there really. If things were worse the SP would of tanked so much more.

Thing is though , how can they sign the deal off (both parties) and then for the volatility be where it is right now. Talk about the bread and butter for traders, its too good to be true for them !

Think you definitely have to read between the lines with the update. Its literally a nothing year for Harbour , pay less windfall tax and get the deal over the line while international opportunities progress. Slow and steady while picking up a divi and hoping this deal comes off.

Also the lack of production is saving the assets too.

Thing is the North Sea right now is worthless for the UK government generating nothing in windfall whatsoever. Take that the useless third world government !!
