Labour are even coming to their senses regarding their ridiculous green ramping. Hopefully they can start ramping north sea oil and gas then this will be 500p even before the wintershall deal is complete ;-)

I personally think the markets worry has been the reserve life here rather than the EPL. EPL has obviously affected the SP but the reserve life has enhanced the downfall. While diversification doesn't stop the taxes it does add less risk regarding reserves and future growth.

To be honest the whole north sea sector has been attacked in the markets this week , it really has been brutal for every investor !

Honestly that sell off was brutal and it appeared there was no confidence in this deal at all. Hopefully that has all changed now !

Isn't 921million shares at 360p highlighting share dilution? So therefor once the deal completes these current harbour shares will be worth less? Think that's what's going on here , everyone is selling and then will buy back again on a re rate?

So what is the reason for this constant drop after this so called amazing world beating phenomenal super deal ? There has to be a logical reason? BASF will absolutely not pay 360p a share when this stock is so sh*t !!!

So , another bad day but an opportunity for shorts to close once the deal is confirmed more? i cant believe i did not take the profit at 320p. Really beginning to think this share business is not for me and its nothing but a waste of time, just like the UK markets and this country as a whole.

Imo the 260's weren't around for long on Friday and it's all down to the oil price for the next week. With the US bombing Iraq and the refinery in Russia getting hit the oil price should hold , and also we have the Chinese holidays to support the OP too ! There's no reason to believe the wintershall deal is over , the SP movement is all down to the BS from GS ! Maybe with the harbour board knocking production on the head it's because they have that confidence in this game changing deal ! I spoke to someone who has years of experience in stocks and they recon the deal will go through due to Wintershall being in distress financially. Let's see what happens.

Well regarding oil this time of year there has always been a lull , its the Chinese holidays soon so that will feed through into the oil markets. In just over a months time we get a trading update and further progress regarding the acquisition. The dollar strong and US economy strong oil is not a bad place to be !

I dont understand how a company can release a statement saying "acquisition agreed " and "business agreement signed" , and then that to all be forgotten due to a few rumours and a bank low balling a company due to the current valuation. Surely if a business agrees to sell to another business then that is that !! If the government were to oppose it then that should be stated before the news released on the acquisition ffs !!
