Possibly ! think we are in for an interesting 6 months regarding the SP , im really hoping that we are near the "new" bottom and we can rise from here ! Q1 2024 is when the regulators pass the deal apparently so hopefully we dont have too long to wait and this downside can stop.
Im going to let the market settle on the news before buying more , looks like we arent out the woods just yet ! maybe news on hedges dropping off will add further support in the new year. 5 million shares traded today which we know is well above average.
The only part I'm concerned about regarding the deal is the comment "subject to regulatory approval" , I can only imagine how concerned the German government are about the deal so what chance is there of them blocking the deal?
Thinking outside the box I do think this deal has something to do with the energy security of the West , where will see a monumental shift away from Russian energy. The Gulf Of Mexico and South America is going to have a massive part to play with energy supplies so was this merger the plan all along when Harbour was formed ?
Yeah , I'm sure this is all to follow. Funny how the bbc havnt covered such a massive deal in their business section. Also just think we could really turn down the production in the UK , instead of 190k boe we could go to like 150kboe. This would hurt the north sea industry considerably.
And also the UK Gov with their own major energy issues so now the Harbour New Co have extra clout behind them they can lobby the gov for a better deal. What do the gov want , a global company invest like Harbour or a shoddy outfit like Ping !
Yeah same , I'm hoping we can sit comfortably around 320p + until the deal is finalised. I also hope the media don't start playing games saying negative stuff about the deal trying to put you off the scent so pi's sell (like rolls royce) . Also hope the days of being a trading stock are behind us.
Good article SPArmada . Seems like the only risk to the deal is the Russian LetterOne chairman involved. I have found this link which is the company that sorted the deal for LetterOne , surely if there was any issue this deal wouldn't of been announced in the first place ?
