Well thats why the wintershall dea merge is such a big deal , projects take forever to develop and wintershall were a 100 year old company , not just any old startup. There has to be value there !!

With the general stock markets doing ok this will automatically underpin the price of oil too. Interest rates lower , gov bonds lower are all supportive for oil.

All the UK government have to do is knock the epl on the head and then that will solve all the problems, it's as simple as that.

Personally I think the board are hiding the full potential of the merger , once certain institutions/buyers are locked in. Wintershall Dea was a respected operation for over 100 years . There's no way that those assets were performing poorly.

With high prices production was at 220k a day and now it's 70k less at 150k . The UK treasury the loser.

Turn off the taps in the UK and focus on norway with investment allowances. Job done.

Well you can forget investment into Mexico and indonesia with these prices. Just keep producing low and slow.

5billion debt for 19years worth of reserves and 30billion of assets is super cheap.

The UK government just can't simply tax what they are now unless they want homeless people on the streets and a north sea oil and gas museum.

Who is worse off? Hbr management or basf? Considering with low oil prices hbr can possibly get a much better deal? Plan all along? Even if hbr management dropped the divi to buy out basf so shareholders own more of the company then the sp would surely be supported.
