Some of us have a life other than this BB and watching a share price by the minute. As a long term shareholder a 3p moves make no difference to me.

Markets over react on the downside as well as on the upside. I have no intentions of selling my ITV shares. I have my own valuation of what I think they're worth, so time will tell.

Absolutely agree 100% Janus. I also as a rule never give advice on what other board members should do with their hard earned cash. Only once have I ever given a poster Solley who asked me if I had a share tip, I said that I don't like giving tips for obvious reasons. Although, I did say that my largest share holding was BT and that at 130p a share I thought they were at the time good value in my opinion. I hope that he acted on my info with the BT share price today at 182.50p.

Bear in mind that today was a low volume day @8.1 million, daily average volume currently stands at 16.5 million.

I concur Contrarian, at least you can back up your findings unlike our resident troll and self-proclaimed "board's greatest single investor" who purchased ITV at 92p 76p & 84p having bailed out previously, taking a big loss. Not forgetting his previous trades in MKS at 250p followed by £100,000 at 260p. Wow massive paper losses. If he's the boards greatest investor, I wouldn't want to be the worst. New board members shouldn't be fooled with "We are going back up to 80P for now" because this may turn out to be a false dawn. You would be best advised to ignore any BUY advice on any discussion board. A fool and his money are soon parted.

This news alone should have sent the BT share price above 200p IMO. The media has negativly used the pension deficit against BT for years. Now BT have it under control down from £5.1bln to £1.1bln. I wonder what the media will look for next to discredit BT?

RWC partner Ian Lance insists that value investment is not dead and highlights five stocks he believes can help turn around the performance in his struggling fund.

BT’s Openreach division generates £2.6bn of earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) which we have valued at £22bn.

This represents a multiple of just over 8x historic Ebitda which compares favourably with other utilities and therefore ought to be achievable.

The enterprise value of the entire group is currently £31bn meaning that all the other businesses are being valued at £9bn, which is only three times their historic cash Ebitda of £2.8bn.

Rumours surfaced in a recent Financial Times piece that BT might be about to monetise a stake in Openreach.

Agreed, what I would add is that any potential intersted party in CH4 will also run the slide rule over ITV. Recent media speculation put a valuation of £2bln on CH4. While I think that this valuation is on the high side, this would help with a re rating of ITV share price. If CH4 is worth £2bln, what is the true valuation of ITV?

You lost your family inheritance in a company McCall was involved in according to Janus who claims to personally know you and your family, that resulted in your wife divorcing you and your kids disowning you. Jed, Tom has trashed this ITV discussion board for at least 4 years, most board members have given up with this site. Tom has form for his potty mouth he hates Carolyn McCall, he blames her for his past losses in Easyjet where he bet the family inheritance and lost. Hence his obsession. He even stooped to wishing Covid on Dame Carolyn. He's been banned previously under alias TomLondon and at least one other alias. LSE are a waste of time. Just let him get on with it. You wouldn't know it by looking at the ITV share price but ITV are in very good health financially. Strong balance sheet. Cut net debt, paying a 5p annual dividend. Very low P/E. I intend loading up the truck if we see a share price of 50p, it would be foolish not to. 10% dividend yield and growing, I will have some of that.

Tom, from my understanding reagrding Gamestop, yes you're right a buying frenzy followed by shorters getting burnt, that resulted in shorters having to close their shorts, hence increased further buying. I'm not sure that there are that many shorters of ITV. It would be nice if it happened, I just don't see it happening though. On this occasion I would be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Tom, I think that you will find that institutions own/hold approximately 80% of ITV with Liberty Global also owning close to 10%. That leaves only 10% available.

Wise move Peachy, its never a good think to have too many eggs in one basket. If someone (not ITV) was to purchase Channel 4 for the recent figue quoted of £2bln, this would help give a re rating of the ITV share price IMO.
