I think the BT share price could go higher

"To my mind, the BT share price could climb higher, but only if several things go well for the company. First, if BT keeps raising its dividend, then this should support (and possibly lift) its shares. Second, French-Moroccan billionaire Patrick Drahi built up an 18% stake in BT in 2021. Drahi and his Luxembourg-based French telecoms firm Altice can’t bid to buy BT before June. But he may make some kind of approach in the second half of this year, which could set the shares alight."

I don't go by what a chart says, a chart is only the history of the share price. I only use charts as a guide, nothing more. I buy value. If you cannot see that ITV are cheap when everyone else can well.....

Yes I did take advantage of the bargain price on results day, I bought at just over 71p, sold 3 -4 days later, made over 5k, paid for one of our holidays already booked.

LOL, well if you can't see value in ITV priced @£3.4bln ? What do you want jam on it? Even Tom ITV's biggest bear has jumped on board. The sum of all parts is worth a hell of a lot more than this bargain price. But each to their own. Who knows with these markets you may get lucky and get a lower price.

For once I agree with you Tom, we have 2 foreign holidays already booked for this year, covid permitting.

Regarding TMF article, I enclose below a reply from what I would call a knowledgeable posters reply (below) to myself over on ADVFN ITV board. So just because you want to write off all TMF articles, let Joe public make their own minds up. In this case the poster agreed with the article.

Once again you're living up to your name, no surprise there then. I share links with this board all related to ITV articles good or bad, (I wonder why I bother) it's up to the individuals to make their own minds up on them. I've read some rubbish on TMF, but I've also read some very good articles too. It would be foolish to disregard all fool articles.

No you would be wrong to assume that I'm desperate, I don't need to sell my ITV shares, I will never need the cash invested. My shares investments are only for a bit of interest. My wealth is in property. Sorry to disappoint you.

I don't give advice out, I leave that to you. What was it you said? Buy retail, buy MKS @260p a share after you claimed to have purchased £100,000 worth, RAMPING MKS, right at the top of the market to go along with your other 5 year dead investment @250p. How's your paper losses doing Tom? I maybe currently underwater with my ITV holding but your losses put mine in the shade.

My big worry is that you claim to have purchased shares in ITV, with your track record ITV could be doomed. Lol. Everything that I read on discussion boards I take with a large of pinch of salt, 70% of posters are idiots, you're living proof. I make my own investment decisions and stand by them, I've got a proven track record over 37 years of successful investing.

As I've said previously, my main investments are in property. My shares investments are just for a bit of interest. I can live with my ITV losses. Can you live with yours?

Agreed, by the way Tom how is your 299p MKS sell order doing? You know the £100k 260p purchase? Along with the 250p purchase. My god it's a toss up which one is biggest dog ITV or your MKS, after your 250p purchase 5 years ago, you had the chance to sell at a small profit, but instead you loaded up the truck, I'm not sure that I would be that foolish.

Contrarian, ffs, we've had this conversation about 2 weeks ago if I'm not mistaken. I agree with you one one point, nothing I or you or any nutjob justnotworthsh it pardon my pun says, on this discussion board or any other board will make any difference to the share price of a FTSE company.

Before the pandemic the ITV share price stood @152p, so not a million miles away from my valuation of 160p. ITV are in a far healthier position today than they were before the pandemic struck. If it wasn't for the uncertainty surrounding the ITVX plans, my fair value would be considerably higher than 160p. If the BOD had not announced the ITVX plans the ITV share price I believe would be currently priced around 110p - 130p.

No you would be wrong regarding 160p being my fair value for years and years, I have revised down my FV over the past few years when it was much higher. I think that priced at 160p is rather conservative when compared with most brokers as discussed previously.

If you don't want to read my opinions that's your prerogative, use the filter button and everyone's happy. But please stop trying to nit-pick, it's becoming boring. I don't intend replying to you again on this subject, life's too short. Have a nice day.

Agreed Rob, while I won't put a time frame on it, I do expect the share price to recover. Considering that ITV reported very strong results, record advertising revenue last financial year and this year is expected to be as good if not better for advertising. Massive overreaction by the market, that's markets for you, they have a habit of over reacting on the upside as well as down side. Anyone would think judging by the fall in the share price from 110p on results day, to 81p today that they had reported a massive financial loss, when in fact results were very strong and beat market expectations, not to mention reduced net debt, and restarted the dividend with a healthier balance sheet than before the pandemic.

No misprint mate. SimplyWall.st have increased their ITV fair value from 276p to 359p. While I'm not sure that I agree with their valuations, I do think that ITV are cheap as chips. Crazy valuation the market has currently put on ITV, massive overreaction to the ITVX strategy. Worth at least 160p per share IMHO.

A very quick look at Justnotworthit's post history says it all, he's been a member since Feb of this year, most likely been banned previously spouting his/her trash on here and over on the M&S board wanting to get a reaction. Best to ignore the deluded idiots. Some people have nothing better to do with their lives. What joy it must be to live in a world where negativity is your only driver. Well said Janus, I couldn't agree more.

Judging by the share price reaction since the new ITVX plans, the market clearly doesn't like it. The question is will large institutions allow this to continue or will heads roll at the AGM. Money talks and I'm expecting a change in management that may result in a 50% share price increase taking us back to pre ITVX announcement.

I fully intend to use my vote, and would also recommend other holders to use their vote. I was just making the point that institutions own almost 80% of ITV.
