Fleccy, I enclose a conversation that I've had with a poster over on the ADVFN below. Can you please confirm that what you've said previously regarding 5G & 6G. Cheers.

BT is a highly indebted company which needs to spend £2bln per year to roll out 5G. Then 6G will come along which will cost BT c£4bln per year to roll out. BT are also highly regulated when it comes to the amount of money they can charge other operators to use their infrastructure. Therefore BT is being run more like a public service company. And why, because we all want cheap as chips internet services.

Loganair, I'm no telecoms expert, far from it, but there is a poster on LSE who has worked in telecoms all his career, he says that there isn't much needed after 5G, apparently 6G will only be required in large places like big shopping centres, so less outlay going forward for BT after 5G and Fibre build.

NC - I've heard the complete opposite that 6G will be expensive to roll out as will need completely new infrastructure as it will be running at a speed as high as 1 Petabyte. At this speed, humans will be able to start to directly connect themselves into cyberspace. 7G, at 1 Terabyte humans will be able to start to fully integrate themselves into cyberspace.
