Indeed it is Mariog
"Having previously banked profits of £43 million on Hurricane, the average cost of the Fund's current shareholding is 6.7p a share."
"On 31 December 2020, Hurricane had ring-fenced trading losses of $468.7 million and supplementary charge losses and investment allowances of $707.8 million. In addition, capital allowance pools of $383.5 million were available to be used against ring-fenced trading profits. In the event of a corporate transaction, the Fund believes that the benefit arising to Hurricane's shareholders could be very substantial."
Indeed very lazy sense - why is HUR troubled? they are producing shed loads of cash every lift! also the planned maintenance isn't due until Q3 of this year!
"Over the last few months it has mainly about bickering and watching badly behaved children in a playground. I don't think that was the purpose of this forum"
And today hasnt been any different?
Simple - easy answer - I have a life!
PMSL - "I am an investor who has been following the boards for two years but was too busy to post due to spending my time being one of the tens of thousands of scientists developing vaccines to break the hold of a life threatening virus on the population and society as a whole" - now has COVID so now you aren't busy
How can a biochemical pharmacologist working for AstraZeneca and is also a director of two companies within retail and the food sector spend all day posting on here ?
asimpleinvestor - "Whether its posted every 28 days or posted every 35 days or even longer is immaterial, as the content will be the same. I'm quite happy, as an investor to wait a few days extra for the RNS, they are coming much more frequently than a year or more ago. The most important RNS is at the end of the month as far as I'm concerned and what is important to me is knowing that oil is still pumping and earning the company a profit."
Updates have never been at the end of a month they are always around or on 16th - 17th of the month - just goes to show you how much you know about your company! therefore I stand by my earlier comment
asimpleinvestor - member since 18th April.... says it all really
Just goes to show you the contempt the BOD have for us SH, they could have announced before the Easter bank holiday!
It looks like we have to wait until 28th of April now - why?
Ron - don't think CA will want a postponement tbh, the old BOD would've got away with it but now CA have their NED's on the BOD its highly unlikely ...
From Mon, 27th Apr 2020 RNS -
"Hurricane is assessing a number of options for next steps at Lancaster. Prior to recent oil price declines, the Company was evaluating the potential to drill and tie back an additional production well (the "L8 well") to not only increase production but also provide data to help de-risk the Company's volumetric model. Another consideration is the potential to re-enter the 205/21a-7Z well and isolate the heel, with the objective of accessing a more productive zone and reducing the interference impact with the 205/21a-6 well. Successful isolation would have the benefit of increasing productivity without requiring the drilling of a new well or of making a significant investment in new subsea infrastructure that a new well would require.
They also have 205/21a-7z ("P7z") but cannot be bought onto production due to interference with 205/21a-6 ("P6")
Definitely 19th
Thanks Brian,
Hope so too!

Some of us (me) have been stuck here with massive losses so a speedy recovery to 0.8p would be welcomed (break even)
