Malcy's blog from yesterday.Anyone else think the PVR mention of 'floating production facilities' was significant. In an earlier communique PVR had said they would be producing for a lower price than conventionally and both myself and Wacky thought this had got to mean doing away with a pipeline and using an FSRU because there was no other indication as to how the cost reduction would be made. Certainly no mention of only employing Angolans, who I understand are the cheapest educated operatives you can hire.

Fair play BPC, I cycle and use trains so I'm occasionally a little self righteous, PRD are one of the greenest o & g companies out there, but my other three companies are traditional o & g.

It just gets better for us. The two elements in greatest demand, Neodymium and Praseodimium
we have lots of. However, in the stampede to.mine these two, other rees will unearthed leading to over supply and prices will fall. Which will shaft our competitors I.e.. other miners who historically concentrate their energies mining other elements.

BPC will be using 'enhanced oil recovery techniques' in T &T, that's good enough for me.
Can't see them.using anyone other than us, we're on the manor, have recently proved our CCS EOR and we have a business relationship with them courtesy of them taking over CERP/FRAM partnership.

Plus of course, like a spoilt and profligate mistress they are always desperate for cash. Getting their newly acquired wells pumping to capacity will be the most pain free option to get money in their coffers.

Good afternoon Sefton, wanted to second your observation in your earlier post regarding not underestimating the value of our TyssenKrupp partnership.

They are one of the world's great corporate survivors, companies of that calibre don't throw in their lot with any old mine operator because their good name is their trademark. By taking us under their wing, they are bestowing on us their seal of approval.

BPC make cowboys look like native Americans. Bod constantly finding one reason or another to pass around the begging bowl. There is money to.be made though, I've dabbled lightly for a spot of beer money but it feels like a pyramid scheme, no substance and a soulless, cynical thing to be doing. Interesting lead read in today's Oilprice.com.If anyone was in doubt as to the bad state of affairs their oil industry is in, this is worth a read.

Of course, if we can get their wells gushing again with our CO2 EOR, I believe there will be rich rewards. BPC are looking in very bad shape, now after loans and services on basis of share of drill proceeds, but the drill.on has a 35% success... we just could be in a position in T & T to take advantage of their predictable predicament..

Wacky, so unless you've missed something, they've given no indication as to how they will achieve this cost saving per barrel.

They could of course be referring to an FSRU that us nothing to do with us, but I doubt it, if we are planning to be in that line of business offshore Ireland, then why not bring us into the tent? They've certainly not been hesitant in bringing in companies with the necessary expertise to cover other aspects of the project.

Then they try to play a green card, which I really do think PRD is the ace up the sleeve.

I always remember Malcy referring to PRD as 'the' Greta stock note; not a' Greta stock. We are the UK's most eco responsible o & g company for the time being.

Plus remember, out of sight is out of mind. Difficult to picket a FSRU, a pipeline terminal on the other hand...
