Where do people see fair value on this share?

Once it hits nasdaq, in general americans seem to be much more aggressive in investing in business on future scope, which Maxcyte has the upside on.

Porky9 - as Brent pointed out, the main factor is your point 3.

You state fundamentals.... well whilst "not probable but possible" ... NCYT could end up refunding DHSC in full or start a lengthy legal battle. This is hugely damaging on their cash flow and also their focus as a business.

Until the DHSC situation is cleared up, the share price won't move. The market is focused on this and rightly so, as it is creating a level of risk. NCYT resources and cash could end up being used on a fight.

My personal opinion, as stated previously - their RNS's seem to state a level of confidence that the dispute is close to resolution...one can only hope!

AK - from reading the annual report and management reports this morning, i get the impression:

-They are confident of resolving the DHSC dispute. Mullis is never overly optimistic, yet they have clearly stated to the market a "resolution" figure (20mill) in which they believe the dispute can be resolved.

-Interesting to note: "To overcome limits in its capacity to self-finance its growth, the Group has been required to seek other sources of funding, notably through capital increases."
If this is the case, timing will be crucial as to when they do this.

-Confidence in LFT - we have now seen time and time again that they believe there will be "significant revenue" generation. Why are they so confident? Again, for a company which is conservative, this is good to see!

you're exactly right Harchris. This is what happened last time, with a load of PI's getting overexcited and then super disappointed. I don't think the share price will move substantially tomorrow. However, the constant hype about how tomorrow will forever change Novacyt will only further drive the price down, not up.

For me:

-They need cash for the CTA. Why raise now when next month/month after, they could raise on the back of really positive COVID data and AGILE backing?
The fact they've made this move shows they're confident about their data and have written as much.

It makes no sense for any seller to sell now, as we are on the verge of knowing covid data, which as a minimum will raise to 4-5pence (i appreciate others think higher).

The only point i would make is the way the RNS is laid out - why not mention the COVID info first followed by the CTA delay. In Tim's statement, why not focus on the COVID/AGILE statement first, followed by "unfortunate" delays.
It's a small point, but these things make a difference to investors who panic.

This is some of the strongest and most encouraging language i’ve seen SAR use in a RNS. Absolute quality.

Surely the rise wasn’t because of this RNS. Sar is not leak either, so i have my doubts that this is what the market had sight of.

My guess is that the market and SAR have sight of a SRA737 fee /on licence deal. Sar to extend their reporting to take this into account.

Remember Sierra needs to report this first, so watch out for 11.30am RNSs.

GeneGenie - i think you have the wrong end of the stick. Sporting events is more focussed on testing athletes. Have a listen to the video. Being an integrated part of sporting clubs, stadiums for the athletes etc rather than the crowd.

For travel - this will be used as per currently... get tested on site, results in 80 mins. Instead of next day. it’s already happening by the likes of collision group, this brings in greater efficiency. The aim isn’t to test every passenger if they already are bringing a negative pcr done privately elsewhere.

From my perspective, i think SAR are in a good position. The interview shows that and Tim's outlook for 2021 is to better 2020. Im ADAMRIBS will tell me why it wasn't a good interview.

However, I dont think there is any company secretly buying shares in SAR, nor are they midst takeover. IMHO. They must have larger pharma's watching them, and SAR need to take it as far as possible up to or inclusive or P1 and ... all results being good... we're on to a winner here, either with partnership or licensing. But until those results are known, we will just see this share drift up and down in a range.

Of course, risk is associated, as there is no guarantee we get the results we want. But that's what investing at this stage is all about! And yes it is likely they need to raise funds, but again i don't see that as an issue if the final results are good.

There are those on here who think 5-10million shares a day is big volume. It isn't. This is just normal ALGO/PI buying.

Ahfam, i appreciate your views, but Dr Parker mentioning takeover panel as a plus point for SAR is just ramping.

i still don’t get why this would be a RNS. There is obviously a reason.

Was it a negotiating tactic with on going bidders for licensing?

Was it to warn shareholders of imminent placing?

Or has their options for licensing fallen through and they need to attract new bidders?

I don’t get why the board decided to RNS this... surely more to it...

Hi Damion - if you believe there is going to be a raise, and you may be right, why are you here?

If you're invested, you obviously believe, even if a raise occurs, that the positives outweigh the negatives? That SAR is going to bring you further fortunes than it has already? Otherwise it would make no sense you being here.

It's fair enough to bring balance to the board (like Fadec can sometimes) but your remarks are just constantly negative speculation.

Great news for other holders.... you believe there will be a raise, yet you're still here on the SAR board with your investment. Then there must be something REALLY big to look forward to for you in regards to SAR.

It is so pleasing to see how robust the come back was on this share from the drop last week. Yes it was over-done, but this pretty much came back within a week. COME ON SAR!
