Market seems a bit perkier. Glad some of your shares are rebounding.

I’m awaiting the BoE decision on interest rates before buying anything else.
BOO and ASC seem good opportunities in the new year. I might buy in then.

My EUA is up 12%, but I’m still below the 26p break even point on the JORC RNS issued.

TD - sorry about CINE. The SP reaction (like AVONs today) tends to reflect the worse case scenario, so hopefully things can only go up from here on in.

I’m kind of feeling paralysed trading fund wise (half is in cash at mo). I’m reading everything in the papers and online. However, I just cant figure out what might go up or down in the short term, so don’t want to force anything just for the sake of it. Consequently, still holding at a loss LLOY, MSFT, JD, and LGEN. ABF is just in profit though.

T & O. The handling of Omicron is absolutely ridiculous. Why haven’t they released further details of the person who died with it? Probably because it doesn’t support the agenda that certain vested parties have. If I was a betting man, the person who died probably hadn’t been vaccinated and was either extremely old or had “underlying health issues”. In the meantime, the economy takes a further hit. :(

Nez - I’m not in CPI. I just read the market update (not brilliant but…..) and hopefully just an overreaction and a shake out and bounce tomorrow for you.

I was in JDW until a few weeks ago, who are down another 4%. For once I have sympathy with some of Tim Martins comments. However, I’ve said it before - he ought to put down the points he wants to put across, then give it to his investor relations team to put them in a more corporate manner.

I didn’t see the race, but from what was described it seems that Lewis was unfairly disadvantaged. This isn’t over yet hopefully.

Guys. Agree with you’re thoughts regarding over exaggeration of Omicron. Boris is now the biggest danger to the U.K. economy and business. (Remember when he was overheard saying “**** business” ahead of Brexit). There is nothing this man won’t risk, or throw under a bus for his own self survival.

DJ - I’m not unduly worried in the medium-longterm, so keeping my ABF held in the investment account. I will see how things to go the trading account in the lead up to Christmas.
CCR, Interesting - just looked them up - they bottomed out sort of this time last year then went up 10% over the Christmas/New Year. One word of warning an update from Wetherspoon as follows from mid December

Spoke too soon yesterday, as several hours later HL adjusted my investment figures. So, ended in the red.
ABF reported this morning significant improved trading at its Primark stores, but it hardly changed the SP. My trading batch of ABF is now fractionally in profit, but my JD has dropped further.

M - whatever it is, It may have been left there by a fox as it was too heavy.

Well it was a close call, but a 4th day on the trot of overall gains (£108). This is on the assumption MSFT doesn’t drop any further in the next few hours. Shame GGP didn’t hold onto some of its gains.

Good afternoon everyone. Was quite a pleasant sunnyish cold day until now with a few spots of rain

Overall shares in my investment account are slightly up and all the ones in my trading fund are down but they are balancing out.

Given up trying to day trade EUA, not moving enough and what with the spread it’s not worth the risk, especially staying out overnight.

V - GGP are up on the RNS, not sure if there’s that much more that we didn’t already know/expect more a restatement of the case and prospects. At least it’s steadied the ship for now.

Mmmh. 3 days on the trot with overall gains. Only small today, but that’s not surprising given EUA, GGP and SAR doing their damnedest to lose me money. I might do some small trades of EUA tomorrow as they have been fluctuating by a few percent each day.

V - perhaps there’s a buy one get one free offer on HL. Wouldn’t help me, as I’d just end up doubling my losses :)

T - thanks. I have BT TV - but it’s not on there. However, I can get a version of Bloomberg tv via my Amazon tv box - at the moment there’s a live programme on called Bloomberg Surveillance. Is that what’s on yours?

Haven’t seen the documentary, but it’s on my list to do.

Hurrah. My first successful trade in a couple of weeks. Sold Maersk for a nice, but small profit. I think it could be a good medium term hold, but not in my trading fund.
