PS; Imagine he was ongoingly dripping smallish sells into the market over recent months to get this to sub .50p to buy ahead of him going into the market in Jan to buy millions :-)

Think how much Mr Colin Bird could bring his average price down if he did the right thing here and went even from those 17m shares to say 25m in the open market.

This being morally and - even if he believes only half as much as he says he does - Investment Savvy the right thing for him to to do here around now.

Including buying pressure - his buying and others buying in in hope off the back as he buys too - perhaps seeing him pay on average somewhere in the 1 odd p a share area for the overall purchase; he could still get those 8m shares for less than 100k gbp .. that's peanuts to him .. and maybe bring his average price here down by 25 % + off the back to boot.

That purchase cost would also be easily covered by less than one years nett salary and bonus he paid himself post selling Manica, which, even if of lowly morals, is absolutely the right thing for him to do off the back of what's happened here in the last three ish years. (and would have some think again about investigating if suing him was a viable option )

PS: Great if anyone wants to figure ot MR Bird's current holdings here average price.. I haven't ... but off the top of my head I'd go with 4 to 5p range....I'd be very happy to stand corrected on that

And while I like the Anglo angle at ARCM a lot - but dislike NVS more than CB - it's often raises that decimates s/p's ...and a raise much more likely there than here in 2025 imho (hopefully no raise either here or there, of course.. and that a strong possibility too, granted)

2) followed by falling off another cliff

Be thankful it's Anglo and not NVS overseeing these Zambia licences explorations.

I have reasonable expectation - aka hope - that 2025, in the round, will be at least a decent - maybe even good- s/p year here.... for a change... (that from an awfully low base granted.. and perhaps a pyrrhic victory for some with high averages here, granted too)

Towards continuing to put my money where my mouth is, I'm open to doing more incremental small topping up here going forward too.. especially if this goes under .5p.

(for the long suffering here - and my nerves - I absolutely hope it doesn't)

Agreed Rax.. The very positive update we've been waiting patiently for .. and, from these lowly levels, I'm surprised the s/p isn't pushing on up to 30p ish as I type..

Still, I'm looking at this as a very strong medium term play in my p/f... and so I'm fine with being patient in the knowledge that we should now be very well set for a VERY cash generative/profitable 2025.. and large debt paydown off the back.. and back in great balance sheet shape going into 26 .. including a divi then, hopefully.. And the market therefore ticking this s/p up strongly as we go thru 25 and thru 26.. etc

This is categorically one of the most exciting stocks in my p/f now.. with large scope for punchy s/p appreciation from here forward.

I expect Mr Bird - and his team - mates - would very much like to be very competent at their jobs. That they're not is because of a complex combination of nature and nurture that's not really in their control either, in their defence.

PS; If he is zero accepting of responsibility for this s/p crash - which I don't have enough insight on to have a clear view on.. he's got to talk all things xtr.l, including himself, the boss, up in paid for marketing podcasts for eg - then he's more deluded again than I thought.. and I understand he's significantly deluded already .. so that's a big achievement... and one right back at you to those who say Mr Bird has achieved excellence in nothing whatsoever in his time in charge of xtr.l

PS: just checked and my last top was 16p ish here... so I've been topping up at mid teens - as well as high teens - even.. but didn't do one at 15p like I thought I might.. and am on hold doing any more now..

I stopped topping up a while back to take and watch and see breath into 2025.. including seeing what next business update says...

Looking back on this BB, I see posts along the lines of 'ludicrous to dump these at 30p'.. And I thought I was timing things well in only started buying in the late 20'sp ..and small topping up into late teens p even .. especially as this was 150p a few years back..

Far from well timed by me, alas.. but I understand that betting on such shares is very high risk indeed.. and am prepared to lose all my bet, as a rule... And I guess there's at least half a chance this could go under in 26 now.. but probably not in 25 I'd guess.. as one more emergency bail could well be forthcoming, if required..

Alternatively, this can of course still be turned around.. and HSBC feel very supportive.. and shareholders have been and might well again be too.. etc..

Generally, I'm not sure if I'll put any more in here now.. but.. if it goes under 10p I might do one more decent sized 'hail mary' top up....

Here's hoping this can be turned around.. or taken over at a half decent buy out price.... not least as ihc's products add huge value to the World/human life

Deluded as Mr Bird very obviously is - including surrounding himself with semi competent yes men and burying his head in the sands of Dubai, SA, Portugal etc; depending on the season - I believe that even he must be aware that many shareholders are livid with him.

That said he may well only be somewhat accepting of responsibility, I get.. as at various times I've heard him note that a little off on the grades he expected in Bushranger .. or the AIM markets/this sectors capitulation... or the POC is out of his control.. etc....while there might be some merit in some such thinking, I would counter that his rank amateur carried away state early in Bush drilling, his plentiful bad xtr - and other co's in his stable too I expect - exploration punts in Africa previously, the sieve like counterparty contracts he generally signs, his overly bullish view on PoC over previous years.. etc, etc.. bear witness to him being, in the round, at best, bang average at his job as Exec Chairman of Xtract Resources..

Generally, my guess is he will remain the boss here thru 2025. And all I got is that he/we are due some luck at this stage.... so here's hoping.

The other side of the coin, if I may:

CB is 'Mr Zambia' and is the absolute driver of the companies 'progress' there.

He's had success there before too.

He has surrounded himself with a bang average BOD etc - unsurprising for various reasons, including him, in the round, being bang average too, perhaps - so who takes over after him is a concern to me

My guess is he will buy a bunch more shares on the open market here soon before he believes/hopes this share will be coming back into play .. eg him buying in q1 2024. This would help a lot generally.

That's why I think he should be given another year without shareholder rebellion

eg Xtr now at 5m gbp market cap when it should be much higher on fundamentals.

Alas, with pretty fair reason, Mr Colin Bird's name is now muck in the eyes of many long term AIM participants

But where's there's muck there's - brass aka - copper in sundry places in Zambia.. so here's hoping his/our luck changes for the better in 2025.

If it doesn't I'd be all for getting him retired in 2026

PS: Absolutely agreed the least he can do here is buy a chunk of stock in the market in the coming few months.
