Most AIM companies sugar coat such a tricky update as a rule; these guys the exact opposite even, perhaps. Altogether, I think they could have been less brutal in their tone...

I still guess this will get to FID in the end.. even if they have to do a raise in say 9 months time.. and I'm confident they'll get that away readily enough given the prize at stake.. even if it's for a very low ball price, its still only a few million raise versus the large scheme of project they're involved in....

That said this has gone so badly since Kevin Hart etc were ousted it's hard to believe.. and given the very strong 2021/22 price picture, even harder to believe...from all that cash handed back to shareholders to this mornings update is a shocking jouney so far.. but AIM O&G is hardcore gambling .. so c'est la vie.. and I still have reasonable hope here on an 18 month view forward.. and think, give how lowly the s/p was already in anticipation of delay and funding tightness, that another 30 to 40% to come off it so far this morning is harsh.. approaching very harsh even....

bullying arrogance one more time Samroy.. you're consistent, in fairness..
and as I'm very long this, great if your endless talking up of this share has more success in the coming few months than it did in the last few.. the mathematical probability is absolutely in your favour at least.. ie it's almost impossible to be as wrong going forward in your share price views as you have been so far here imho !! :-)

My posting is indeed erratic here Samroy; likely because I'm very long a stock that I feel, versus proven reserves, is far too lowly priced... yet I can see plenty of reasons why it has been for years, is this year and may easily remain for plenty of time to come, far too lowly priced..

Which leads me nicely to finish this post with a text book eg of 'the erratic'... which would normally occur one post after the last, but as I'm feeling generous at this moment I'll do this one , one line after the next in the same post:-) :

Roll on that MRE and a good rally before in anticipation and after because of a - hopefully - excellent upgrade on resources, very please.. as there is only a very small chance of this company being sold in the next three months and a placing is coming around Feb time, imho.

Samroy, I have no problem you being hard core bullishness here.. and my goodness you absoultely, categorically and utterly are hard core bullsih here... you're entitled to your opinuon as much as the next guy..but I have a problem with you attempting some arrogance based bullying... please desist. Everybody is entitled to their opinion and the share price is the benckmark .. and given your views versus it's performance . I'm amazed at your arrogance.. and the above pasted quote makes me take your posting less seriously again.

No need for me to go on this call I feel .. not least as there are some excellent posters here who will ask many relevant questions, no doubt.. even accepting many of those will look to err on the side of the positive in interpreting whatever feedback is given - and no doubt AC will do the same in his commentary and answers, the double whammy effect :-)- but that's all their perogatives and the nature of the games we play.. and great if the MGS and Florida give whatever post call feedback they see as appropriate here.... and fine by me if takeyourbets feedsback too, as I have him on filter now :-) ( only the 3rd person I've ever put on filter and that's over an awful lot of bb's over plenty of years )

thats my conclusion too HS... but that's over time and assumes ongoing suceesses of drillings as they go .. and the oil revenues from the first well will also be contributing to the funding of the next one.. etc..

Generally, roll on 3p sometime in Nov here .. very please .. and, altogether, could hopefully be doable now ..

Interestng Jimzi.. do you mean after going under 3% threshold ? I'd expect they must be under that by now, if they are actually selling out.. and no TR1 saying so is what made me think maybe you're right and they're not selling at all.. but I then though maybe it's ok that they wait til 0 left if the instruction to the executing broker is a - gentle- total sell down/out?

Just did an opening small one under 5p and would do bigger and bigger into any further weakness.. guessing it won't go under 4.5 p and I'll only get to add a few k ..... but if it does go under 4.5p I'd start to add more seriously..
generally, I like this bet more and more as we go.. and the meaningful revuene that's soon enough to start flowing from African Assets is a significant underpinning factor for my - now - high hopes here ..

great if you're right Jimzi.. and you could of course be.. ( eg Huddleston selling slowly from later in summer and then speeding up incrementally and then big rump dump in short order more recently ).. no one knows for sure.. but the Cannacord ongoing gentle selling angle too still a clear possibility in my mind too..

this share price going up, indeed decently up too, into two days of 'low' - 1 to 1.25 m range transacted first two days this week when 1.5 m and above - sometimes way above - were the type daily vols towards the back end of Oct. - is encouraging.. previously, with this - likely - gentle block seller unwinding into such low vols. this would have been very likely been a down day, experience tells me.. so I'm think ing - aka hoping - this gives evidence that the block seller has litlle / very little left now.. but always best to just wait and see, of course.. Roll on that TR1 asap very please !!

So like Swindon41 - who I think I remember sniffing around save.l too - and me, Mr JW Hudleston also having the oil bug is an interesting angle.. and playing AIM oilers is certainly not for the remotely feint hearted.. and if in the wrong names at wrong time - eg Hur down to 1p - it would certainly add weight to the distressed seller angle.. which I'm happy to go with.. but, towards balance , I would add that is only one of two likely scenarios in my mind... the other is he doesn't believe this company will be sold in the next year or two or even three.... and he sees intermittent raises for drilling curbing s/p progress as a rule thru that time .. I kinda get that too but counter that with the resources proven already and clearly to come too this s/p is extraodinarily low currently - ie at around the average prices he was selling hat last 10% - so distressed seller makes a bit more sense, in the round, to me.. - and he sold some in 2020 and earlier in 2021 too.. which might add to that view too - but I clearly understand that it's not just about an offer here, it's about the 'right' offer .. and there's likely 3 or 4m etc oz of gold to be straightforwardly proved up here at pretty low exploration cost too .. but time and money required to do this..

Loves a placing does AC .. and the bigger he can get away the better .. not surprising to me but somewhat salutory nonetheless.. oh well.. at least there's progress being made on the ground here now...

Speaking of 20 ish % extra.. if he's even 20% as good at getting a big deal or two over the line as he is at getting punchy raises away then I'll be happy.. that obviously remains to be seen.. and African time is clearly being taken ..but here's hoping..

Generrally, long term holders who haven't averaged down hard will be aghast at such placings.. as total shares in issue being added to significantly - now and previously and again soon enough I'd guess, for one reason or other ... - makes their hopes of someday breaking even more feint again ..

Remains a tricky share that's more for the hard core punters imho.. but I have some reasonable hope here for 2022 now, in fairness..

(A tiny cavaet on madsktpan response post if I may be so cheeky: you, urbanracer, are one of the most bullish on this stock on this board and have been for years imho .. and with good fundmanetals reason, I fully understand... Indeed I believe you to absolutely be the owner of a magnificently bold pair of Landore inscribed rose trinted glasses .. and good for you :-) And I should add that madsktpan is not imho an owner of such a pair of glasses .. which absolutely can be a good thing too, hence why, towards balance, I like reading his posting here a lot too..

Re my view here : On a resources in the ground basis, I like this stock a lot, no doubt whatsoever.. but after a lot of rank amateur, non technical, displays by management here over a long time now, I'm not a lover of this stock.. and to prove that, in due course, I intend returning to combining active trading alongside buy and hold here.. as I did at the beginning of my journey here a few years back....

Also there is are three - and a half even - potentially meaningful avenues of news to come here in Nov and Dec, hopefully.. Atome and Paraguay farm out and Argentina new oil drills .. and i'll give potential for existing output improvements via some sorts of issues fixes as the half.. so people can come on board for any or - combined effect of - all .. So here's hoping this pushes well on from latest 2p ish by Christmas !!

Like others here, I believe the - very likely - block seller must be very close to finished now.. but that's not to say that they couldn't still have a million or two rump for eg still to go.. my fel from watching fairly closely is that their style has been gentle - and consitent daily levels of ongoing selling - with a bias away from early in day selling and more towards late morning and especially afternoon; hence why the process has taken a relatively long time to complete imho.. and it will be interesting to see how well this rally holds up/progresses through the remainder of today..

Generally, even if still same gentle selling this week.. i'd guess sometime mid to late week might see them finish.. so buying sub 25p may well be be a good play whatever i'd guess..
