TG2D has 4 ticks for posting about the RNS and no mention of delay and instead is posting that Gen 1 is dead. Here’s an extract from the RNS in question.

“ As a result of the delayed receipt of the second production orders noted above, full year revenue is expected to be marginally below consensus forecasts.1

· The impact of the reduction in revenue alongside some small one-off increases in overheads means Adjusted EBITDA is likely to be towards the lower end of the range of market forecasts2, subject to the results of the year-end audit.

· The impact of the delayed demand noted above on the Group's aim of becoming cash breakeven during CY25 will depend on the duration of that delay and subsequent speed of ramp up in demand for our technology.”

They have the stage. Let them enjoy it.

The company I’m sure is aware that there are plenty of unsubstantiated insinuations and falsehoods made but they don’t need to respond to them.

It’s important to understand that RNS, and understand what wasn’t said which was that Gen 1 material supply contract is not cancelled unlike the suggestions made by a few here. ST would not go through the validation process to walk away a few months later after years of presenting the benefits of SWIR sensors using CQD to see in the 940-1400 range. Gen 1 can do everything Gen 2 can except in high temperature environments so Gen2 will be good for automotive and of course is Pb free but to suggest Gen1 is dead is a false claim and I hope that everyone making those claims is rightly embarrassed and contrite when there are subsequent orders in FY25 as I expect there will be.

There’s clearly a blockage in the supply chain and the company indicates by October at the next update they’ll understand it better with input from ST. You could be right about it but then again so might I. But importantly at no point has the company said G1 is dead as some seem to be able to postulate without challenge. That’s a fact:

Ultimately I think you will be proven wrong, maybe not on BE FY25 but on the implications and reasons for the delay. Until then you can take the high ground because that’s what you do.

I have offered some heartfelt opinions tonight and wanted to see what Troublesome said hoping that some common ground could be found and some peace be made and the first post gave me some hope, his follow up less but you never know. Like I did maybe others can reflect. You could go back many months of my posting history and you’ll find I’ve moderated my style because I realised it was not what I would expect of myself in ‘real life’.

Kooba on your other points- why is my view so unconscionable? Why might the opinion that the supply chain is more complex than we first thought so out there? Is it perhaps because it simply doesn’t align with your own opinion? I don’t disparage your opinions and often respect your views. So what’s the problem?

Troublesome I just unfiltered you to see what you wrote. My name is Nige ok. I’m all for being amiable but I’ll be honest some of the behaviours on here are bullying. I acknowledge I’ve called people muppets in the past but I’ve never been a bully and have always stood up to bullying. You are joining the group of conspiracy theorists if you genuinely believe that. I can tell you what’s happening, there’s a huge disparity in opinion and TW and I form the minority and we are consistent with our views. Meanwhile the rest with contrary opinions gang up and attack us both with impunity. I could claim you are Kooba and TG2D and Troublesome and Feeks and any number of others simply because you all share the same view and don’t like being challenged. That’s fine but the conclusion that the only people with an alternate take must be the same person is simply bonkers. So you continue making your claims the OEM’s don’t want lead or that BrightSense can’t be anything involving QD’s as long as you want. If you can discuss things with me rationally that’s fine but if you subscribe to that group thought then I’ll lose respect for you, and I do respect your opinions. How about challenging the other statements people make that are unfounded for balance Nanonano?

It’s simply taking longer than anticipated to integrate this new sensor with new capabilities requiring new software and the supply chain is lagging.

They must have provided guidance for FY24 earnings and realised they were going to miss without the expected order. I assume they contacted ST to enquire about it and were advised there would not be an order before the end of the month. All of this could have happened after the latest Edison note.

So armed with this information, what do they do? Wait to publish the earnings and show a miss and inform the market they hadn’t received an order then and had sat on the information? Or tell the market when they were advised? What would we prefer?
