Edison estimates a settlement in the region of $£250m mark. They will have been guided on that figure, although hopefully at the lower end of the spectrum of damages. Forward licensing is critical and I would expect one to have a global requirement.

Taverham it's only with the new data collected from the producing wells that the flaws from the earlier logs and well test data have become abundantly clear. The data at the time wasn't a lie however for that would be criminal and whilst Dr Trice was in error ultimately re the unlikely presence of water then perched water; his biggest mistake, based on my understanding, is that all along he treated this as an 'experiment' without advising everyone of the risk that with fractured basements, water can come "crashing in" without warning and he subsequently refused to accept that fact himself when it did.

Regardless, I suspect many people heard what they wanted to hear and took a gamble in the hope of easy riches and it hasn't paid off in this instance.

The RPS CPR was built upon a presumption of OWC based on snapshot of log data obtained during drilling. The latest one is based on actual OWC from two producing wells over time in direct contact with the reservoir aided by pressure data from gauges.

The latest is accurate, the former was fatally flawed.

The results are exactly as per guidance so no surprises. FY 2021 guidance of $35m revenue should yield only a small ($2.4m) loss with potential for profit in 2022 although the guidance doesn't extend beyond 2021. Edison may update later.

my take is there was news due to be released last week but both parties requested an extension. The date on the tweet by Sebastian Maril was the last day of the month 30/4 if I'm interpreting it correctly.
