Jaylarc - yes that also influenced my decision 100%. Although I already knew the potential here was frightening I was skeptical about investing as feared it was a gamble as understood most were here for Covid and if the test wasn't as good as expected then many would depart but the minute the collaboration with Mologic came to fruition and talk of giving up capacity to Avct was a green light for me to invest. Like I previously said, both will do extremely well so there is no need for any competition, the fact they are all coming together also means shareholders should be doing the same to get ourselves through this pandemic.
Well done Avct holders, I have been an Odx holder since last April. I have never understood the rivalry between Odx an Avct but hey ho. Although my significant holding is Odx and will continue to be as I feel it is completely de risked and can only see upside due to the government contract and now the ABC has been proven to be best in class tenders will be forthcoming. However yesterday I have taken a position in Avct and also added some more today. Mologic was the reason I first took a huge position in Odx but the Avct collab intrigued me and the mention of Mologic giving up capacity made me think the Avct test was showing better results which seem to have been proven today. Odx has a smaller MC and will sell every test they make and I feel they will make significant money on the ABC through 27 countries but I feel the Avct test will be the one they use through the government contract. Both companies will be many multipuls from these levels. Well done to both sets of holders.
Never read so much sh ite on here in all my life as I have today.
Let's talk about directors sells. In this case it means nothing, it's probably down to tax reasons or they want to treat themselves and bloody good on them, I'd do the same, we don't know there circumstances. Secondly it was perfect timing and i'll tell you why. Imagine they sold out before the government contract was announced, all hell would have broke loose and the SP would have plummeted most likely into the 30/40s, most people would be selling at a huge loss. The fact they had the decency to wait until they announced the contract was as much about shareholders as it was for themselves. That tells me a lot about this company, Walbrook even had the decency to put their arm round the bed wetters with a tweet.
As for all the other nonsense posted on here...... we are on the verge of selling 2 million tests a week, we have a government contract. What the fk is not to like?? Boris basically wan ks into Lateral Flow tests, he can't stop talking about them. The SP will eventually show its true value, this is aim and not everything works as it is supposed to do, that is how the MM's make money! The problem here isn't the director sells, the problem here is the snow flakes who wee the bed at the sight of a 5% percent decrease. My advice would be to switch off and come back in a couple of months if you can't handle day to day movements, either that or go stick your money in premium bonds.
Plenty of green boxes over the last 2 days, they always come out from under the rocks on red days.
Make no mistake, regardless of the SP taking a temporary dip we are still 17% up on the week and this share became massively de risked with the government contract which will guarantee full capacity (we were going to sell everything we made in any case). I think we have had a big seller over the couple of days (maybe legal and general are completely out) but also many big block 250k share buys (hoping for a TR1 this week). Lots of news due, TT being the first followed by tenders etc.... there is much upside.
For those worrying about how long testing is going to be required, let's us look at the facts -
1) the vaccine gives protection against getting seriously ill, it doesn't stop getting infected, NHS staff who have all been vaccinated all have to take lateral flow tests for the risk of passing it on.
2) Varients are the biggest danger, the more infections the more likely for varients to appear, therefore testing will be needed to control outbreaks from happening as if one breaks out that defies the vaccine then we are step one. The government will do everything to stop this happening and mass testing is key to this.
3) 'We will have to learn to live with this disease' - from the horses mouth, if we have to live with it, we will have to learn to live with being tested regularly, as I have mentioned before we can get on top of it but it only takes one variant that resists the vaccine and this is basically a new pandemic.
Testing will become the norm in all work places and the like unless this virus suddenly disappears which it won't. The world has changed, diagnostics will play a huge role moving forward with not only Covid but other infectious disease's. We are in bed with Mologic, AH and the government, what a place to be!
The market moves in mysterious ways and re rates happen when you least expect it. We will be selling 2 million tests a week, the SP will reflect this in its own time. This was always a longer term hold for me, unfortunately many think they can buy in one week and sell out the other at a 300% profit. If you want to go off rainbow chasing that's up to you but I this investment is safe as houses imo now we have signed a government contract, the fundamentals have got stronger and stronger. GLA
haha you moron! Odx has done 40 percent in a few days, Gdr has double bagged. Nyct has lost 25 percent and ended up 7 percent today. What a stupid comment.
It can be used either by oropharyngeal swab (mouth open say ahhhh) or nasopharyngeal (into nose)
@regulator - it’s not. It can be used as either swab or saliva but more likely to be deployed as a swab as swab is more likely to provide a better result.
The Mologic antigen test can be used for both swab and saliva
Haha... I think a few on here have been cracking open the champagne already or smoking something funny, it's a bit early for that chaps, this has along way to go yet.
I think i'm on the wrong board, I came on to discuss Odx. What iss all this talk about British Rail and reverse take overs?? Lord give me strength!
Great post Tonic
For all newbies, there is some great and knowledgeable posters on here, Tonic, Jadam and Merchbanker are 3 that automatically spring to my mind plus many others.
There are also a lot of negative, derampers, bul shi ters, liars etc... that if you are a serious investor will want to stay well clear of. Believe me i've been here since April and have given them every chance but it's not worth a minute of your life to engage so if you want to filter them and have a happy board then just copy and paste this list straight into the filter bin. GLA all old and new holders.

Big volume days doesn't have bring out some bell ends on these boards with some claiming that they have huge investments when they have never posted before and then there is the ones saying it will drop tomorrow because they saw the rise today and want to get in cheaper. Rainbow chasers I believe is the term!

Look at Bels comment underneath. Our test is gonna be used for home testing =-)
A few sayings that I swear by below -
1. no point in trying to find a multi bagger unless you have the conviction to follow it through.
2. 10% of successful investing is finding a great investment. The other 90% is not selling them.
3. Don't sell your winners to buy more of your losers.
I believe all of the 3 above are appropriate in this case.
No need to read an investment book, just buy Odx and come back in 6 months ;-)
two sheds - i thought you had just said you are out before it hits 75p?
Why don't you do some research! alot of us have been here since last April!
LTH - just beware of the traders (new names popping up) due to the high volume, they will ramp it on the way up and deramp it on the way down.
bye then! shut the door on the way out
Tree shake before next leg up imo
Well done all LTH. As for the trolls - up yours! This has been a lesson in believing in your research and not letting the trolls get to you. Those who did are being handsomely rewarded now and those who have done extensive research understand this is only the beginning and has a long way to go. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
