@stokey
I would imagine this is just protocol as this is a statement from NIFRS…. Note… they have classed it as a small fire too which is good to hear.
In an update tonight, a NIFRS spokesperson said: “At 17.17hrs this evening, NIFRS responded to a small fire on-board a vessel located in a Harland & Wolff dry dock within Belfast Harbour Estate.
"Four NIFRS Pumping Appliances with one Aerial, one Foam Appliance, a Specialist Rescue Team and a Marine Team plus a number of Supervisory Officers attended the incident – a total of approximately 50 firefighters.
"NIFRS worked closely with Harland & Wolff throughout the incident, committing NIFRS Firefighters with breathing apparatus and water jets to extinguish the fire.
"The fire occurred in a tank within the vessel that was being worked on by a shipyard subcontractor and the cause has been determined as being accidental.
"All crew on-board the vessel were evacuated safely with no reported injuries. NIFRS will be leaving the incident shortly with the scene being handed over to Harland & Wolff management.”
Sounds like one of the subcontractors may have a chunky bill to pay.
At least everyone is safe and it only sounds a minor incident.
I see ramper and ramper are back to get their 5%
Like a broken record with their copy and paste posts
And like London buses….. :-)
Finance news tomorrow?
Bore off leggy with your ramping nonsense
Could be a real turning point Stokey. I was getting a little concerned by the lack of RNS worthy contracts but that has certainly put those fears to bed.
Award of Preferred Bidder Status for the Falkland Islands Port Replacement Project
Harland & Wolff Group Holdings plc (AIM: HARL), the UK quoted company focused on strategic infrastructure projects and physical asset lifecycle management, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded preferred bidder status for the Falkland Islands Port Replacement Project ("FIPASS") by the Falkland Islands Government.
Subject to agreeing final contract pricing and concluding commercial negotiations, the Directors believe that this project could generate total revenues between £100 million - £120 million over a two-year period, with works on the project expected to commence this year. The FIPASS project involves the build, transport and installation of four floating pontoons of approximately 90 metres each in the Falkland Islands. Conditional on the award of the final contract, the Company intends to spread the work across its multiple facilities in order to provide optionality and de-risk the fabrication of these pontoons.
The Company will make a further announcement upon formal execution of the contract.
I really value the research and information that certain posters give in here. I also like a debate that picks apart the positives and negatives by people ‘invested’ in the company. As for the rampers… well they go straight in the green bin as they offer nothing…. but…. For the life of me I do not understand why certain posters (doesn’t take a genuine to work out who they are) who are not invested in the company spend all day on here posting negative comments constantly trying to cause arguments with people who have invested their hard earned money. I mean haven’t you got anything better to do? You must really live a sad life if your objective is to constantly abuse John and the company without having any shares in the company. It really does blow my mind.
Good news that inflation has halved, hopefully this will now bring down interest rates and bring a bounce to the markets especially small caps. Could be a telling factor on getting our funding deal over the line and as to why John has been holding out.
And like Buses - another RNS, John is certainly busy!
The SP has finally decided to go to correct way this morning, hopefully a turning point. The government funding scheme article was a fine piece of timing after last nights presentation
RNS out
Good timing I would think. I appears we have more or less bottomed out. Just waiting on news now and if it’s positive then we will move upwards very fast!
Thanks Stokey. It would just seem a perfect opportunity to talk through the details on the funding and exactly what it will go towards. Otherwise there are going to be many questions they cannot answer
Clutching at straws or does this indicate we will hear news on the funding beforehand?
Like buses….
Hopefully this will help stop the rot and we can begin the journey up. So many positives for the future and this shows that it’s also about the present.
