There was a short thesis posted and also online dated 24.3.19. Market observation does appear to show some correlation between short thesis and price.
Similarly, if the stock has "news" ie RNS, of a nature that is "material" it can also move a stock [up or down as norm].
In the former, it is a sell-side thesis and investors may provide a counter balance. To do so, one has to provide "factual" point-by-point support data?
That is a free market.
On the Canadian, American, Australian markets via their respective well known forums, people post vital and relevant research [eg Macarthur listed on the Glencore map of 5 iron ore projects globally and that they are in the 66-69%Fe category-this shows they are not interested in low-grade iron ore].
There appears to be objection contrary to a "free market"?
Hence, there has never been any "paid" posts re:research? No where in the UK, US, Australia or Canada has there been any reporting in the newspapers or regulatory bodies of such a notion otherwise there would have been action.
The stock market is about "valuation" per market principles and valuation is not in isolation - it needs data via research to back a valuation. That is what the Canadians are doing on CEO.CA $MMS - one of whom is a 4th yr Finance Student doing only valuation. There are others from what they post that they are also nuanced via their day jobs?
I am not editing so pardon typos. I have eye strain at the moment.
