For well over 12 months our SP has been contained, every attempt to escape was swiftly curtailed regardless of how good the news. Deals of this nature usually take well over 12 months to conclude, we are now in that window.

FWIW I too think PI’s need to prepare to meet reality of AIM trading, that said most I feel should make a return just not what is rightly ‘owed’.

So we have Shell / Exxon wanting to keep it's NS Gas, BP rowing back on it's green transition, writing off $4-$5bn in it's energy transition business and now Sweden, long time advocate of green energy now also pulling back on it's green objectives with it's highest FF emissions in 15 years , yet we still have Ed thinking this is the way to go ..... EPL 'U' Turn is getting ever closer, Labour should be renamed the 'U' Turn Party after yet another one announced today.

They will replace WFT with the permanent Oil and Gas Price Mechanism (OGPM) by March 2030. Note by March 2030, however there is already provision for this to become active for 26-27 financial year. FWIW I believe it will come into force this year and therefore I’m positioning myself accordingly.

Not the precise dollars, cents, pounds or pence, but the ballpark figures?

How is the oil and gas sector possibly able to trust this Government when it does not know something as fundamental as this - and therefore how irrational still having the Energy Profits Levy (the windfall tax) is?

The Government defined 'windfall prices' as $90/barrel for oil and 90p/therm for gas at the end of last year.

Today, oil is $62/barrel and gas is 72p/therm...a third lower than what the Government itself defines as windfall prices!

Basic facts and figures matter and these are really basic..."

Given the apparent 'guaranteed' near-term 'SUPER' boost in our SP, you have to question why 'the big seller' remains. There must be rationale behind this SP suffocating decision and that for me must be a concern for all genuine PI holders ! The fabled pot of gold is looking increasingly likely to be a steaming pot of tu*d for PI's only, that is !!

Down >5% atm, so circa 16% dividend yield for buyers !

So we have trump wanting to 'drill baby drill' not content with what the US have to offer now wants Venezuelan oil too ..... yet we have the UK Gov wanting to abandon it oil reserves. Can the UK not see how none sensical their approach to energy security is crippling it's economy and jobs not only for this working generation but for many more to come.

PS imo, Trump has just given the green light to Xi to go after Taiwan !

I floated the idea of Octopus either taking over ITM or becoming a strategic partner several weeks ago . They have very similar profiles so wouldn’t be out of the question.
