Slide 6 second bullet, what do folk make of this:
"Numerous mineralized zones identified at APTA – high grade but complex. Decision taken not to drill to resource."
That feels pretty significant to me if I'm interpreting correctly. If Agnico/Newmont have decided it's not worth drilling Apta to resource that has a big baring on the investment case.
Views appreciated.
Hi Blingybird,
The company has historically stated 17bn barrels OIP, and yes, 2.2bn barrels recoverable.
And I agree, compared to other North Slope analogues, the recovery factors appear to be conservative.
So the interesting thing in Mr Smith's post is the figure of >20bn barrels. It's either a mistake, or he's let slip there's a resource upgrade coming. We await confirmation next week!!
Very much looking forwards to Tuesday.

Check out this Webinar, Tuesday 26 April 1130AM Houston time, on Pantheon's great accomplishments and plans for the future on the North Slope of Alaska!!! >20 Billion Barrels of oil in place. 4 successful tests of movable high quality oil in 3 reservoirs from 2 wells this winter.
High Quality, about API 38 gravity, movable oil was correctly predicted by AHS's cuttings analyses of all tested zones in both wells before testing.
The Alaska Pipeline and Dalton Highway run through Pantheon's acreage, which are all on state lands, providing great development economics and a friendly regulatory environment. AHS is proud to be part of the Great Bear Pantheon extended team!!!
On the webinar I present on a small part of AHS's work for Pantheon.
Jay Cheatham (CEO) and Bob Rosenthal present Pantheon's North Slope business and technical strategies.
Ed Duncan, Roger Young, and Jerry Nichols present their incredible reservoir, saturations, porosity, source rock, migration, and resource analysis.
Michael Duncan lays out the impressive plans for Pantheons future development of this great resource on the North Slope!!!
Go AHS!!! Go Pantheon!!!
The announcement of phase 2 completion will be strong confirmation to the market that Anza is looking positive in the eyes of the biggest Gold Miners on the planet, as it was when Newmont signing back in September which sent the share price into the 30s.
The market is fickle with short term memory. and unless you're a shareholder already there is little to flag OMI up on your radar at the moment - awareness is low and remains low without news flow. The fundamentals are getting stronger, and will continue to do so if Agnico move to Phase 2, and we also get some bloody assays out in the interim.
The share price lethargy
Remember they also have a 10 digit $ investment on the table from a potential partner. With every derisk and success in this campaign that deal sweetens. For balance the converse is also true, but as it stands today, the result so far proves up the modelling and analysis so far which therefore should give more confidence as we move up the well and progress at Theta W.

A brilliant and informative webinar. Great to get a layman's walk through of the testing, and the details revealed about the FO were the highlight for me. Key points I picked up on that:
1. They are still in discussion with potential partner from before Xmas
2. The "finance people" of the partner changed the terms from the terms the Board found acceptable
3. Those terms are back on the table, but on success those terms will get better for PANR
4. The terms (as Scot126 mentioned) are for a 10 digit investment over 3 stages of earn-in for a minority interest
5. The partner was planning a public listing, and part of the discussion was a possible merger of partner and Pantheon when that listing was to take place opening additional capital markets
6. Point 5 reduces the list of possible entities, and given the previous comments from the Board on who would be a preferred partner suggests to me that Hillcorp could well be the potential partner given their scale and existing North Slope operation
Point 6 is speculation on my part.
2 x £3m shares popped up in after hours!! Chunky
Could well be, having been in a number of stocks that have listed in the OTC they need to source the shares - so brokers in US will buy on other exchanges to sell into OTC buyers. Bodes well if they think the demand is there.

Take a look at petrotal - long term planning based on 90% water cut. Currently producing 20k bopd with water disposal capacity of 100k bwpd
Need to be able to get enough oil out to make it worthwhile, but high water cuts are manageable so long as there is enough oil.
Yeah bullish:
"At the time of writing, three rigs are in operation at Anzá, still focussed at APTA, while work commences on the conversion of our major applications to granted status so that these may be drilled in 2022."
"Several other opportunities are also at the advanced stages of negotiation and it is hoped these may be finalised in the very near term"
"The handover of operatorship to Agnico/Newmont, coupled with our improved balance sheet position, has now allowed the Company to examine new projects and the process of identification and negotiation has been ongoing for over six months. A large number of high quality projects have been assessed over this time, with a key focus on projects with large landholdings in key mineralised provinces, that can be entered at low or zero cost and offer the potential for rapid and cost effective generation of shareholder value."
"the Anzá project is now in the hands of two of the world's three largest gold miners, and we look forward to being able to explore several new high quality opportunities if current negotiations can be successfully concluded."
