It certainly looks like a heat source. top right corner, there is also a second bottom right. I can't tell from the site plan where the chimney for gas flaring is though to confirm if either is that.

Stepping back from it all, there's a little bit of surprise about the structure of their holdings, but no big deal. And we already knew they had taken more shares in the private placement.

The more interesting thing for me is that they have maintained a consistent % holding over the last few years where there's been dilution through capital raises and shares issued for the convertible loans.

August 2021: 25.9m shares (3.7%) and 7.8m CFDs (1.13%) =33.7m shares +CFDs = 4.83%

Today: 41.3m shares (4.49%) and 12.2m CFDs (1.33%) = 53.5m shares+CFDs = 5.82%

They've added ~20m to their position - an increase of 59% since August 2021 the last TR1 that was disclosed.

That feels to me like a pretty strong level of conviction from an office with over £1.1bn assets under management.

Or I am wrong. The TR-1 trail is a bit confusing.

Last notification I can find is 5th August 2021 where he declared:

25.88,710 shares + 7,816,300 CFDs

But based on the info in the TR1 and having 4.99% of the pre-raise shares, it would appear this was the position before the 29th September.

Further examination of the TR1 - it does appear Spencer has sold some shares.

Previously held 4.99% of 907,206,399 shares = 45,269,599 + 11,905,370 in private placement = 57,174,969 shares

New holding: 41,279,757 shares + 12,249,844 CFDs

So looks like reduction of 15.9m shares, take up of 12.2m CFDs.

What I don't understand well enough as I don't dabble in CFDs is the process to reduce physical shares to take CFDs and whether you swap the shares for CFDs with an institution, simply sell them and buy CFDs or something else.

If anybody can enlighten me it would be appreciated.

could be macro - lots of oilers are down today. Oil has come off it's strong run of late (albeit still looking healthy).

It's simply the TR1 related to the private placement of shares from earlier last month.

The geometry point is a certainly good one, and it's not an obvious feature that could be the helipad on the opposite corner in the image, but always a bit tricky with the resolution of these images. I'm not sure the helipad would give a higher heat signature than the rest of the rig. If you look at the image of the rig in the brochure posted by Wallact, the helipad is exactly the same colour as the rest of the exposed surface - grey, and doesn't have a greater surface area exposed than the roof of building just next to it. So if that were that surface heat, I'd hypothesise you'd expect a much bigger heat signature, and not one so clearly delineated as it is. But as well as not being a satellite expert, I'm also not a thermo dynamic engineer :-)

That's my interpretation, using same method recently on another drill, it was validated yesterday in a photo showing the flare from ground level.

Thanks for this - I've looked at the satellite image on EOS and applied some filters. This image is from the 20th, and I've set the filter to false colour, where yellow and red can be interpreted as heat sources. It is possible that the yellow signature at the bottom of the rig is a flare, which can also be seen applying other filters (atmospheric penetration, short wave infrared, atmospheric removal). I'm not a satellite image expert, but this has proven to be the case on other drills I've observed.

It should be set to the shortwave infrared filter, but you can also use false colour or atmospheric removal filters and you can clearly see it through the cloud cover.
