RE: Likely legal timeline23 Dec 2018 05:12
Reso is correct, with reiterating the RNS, however again he fails to recognise this may well work in AST favour-
The government at the time encouraged and supported AST investment and made pledges that the gas resource was important to the slovenians. However they wouldn’t allow AST to be the main license holder, instead forced it upon the JV, who incidentally is majority government owned.
The government then failed to apply the law correctly and refused permits to allow the development to continue after of course AST had invested a major amount of money. The JV being government owned couldn’t sue itself in essence for wrong doing, so almost an admittance of failure but again can’t do anything as it would blame itself.
Now we are at a point again where self failure from the government goes by as the main applicant is also the government, but the funder and main entity harmed by these decisions is AST, sounds like fair competition? Even if the court decision was that if the field was ever developed then AST would need a bigger % compensation later that puts a stamp on the field.
Enter Minister Jure Leben into the case, so Minister you ordered a review and effectively forced the head of arso to resign due to not following process? So sir let’s look into your past, is it true that you once lied about your qualifications to gain entry into a post within the environment agency? Yes or no? Oh you claim that you were relatively new and didn’t know you were doing wrong? Okay the ARSO minister how long had he been in post when you forced him to resign? Oh so he was new as well? Oh but I see you are still in your job? Well practice what you preach and if you were as true to your word as you preach then admit your fault from lying about your qualifications and resign..... imho
I think this would be a circus in the courts with no one ending up nicely.... imho
