Im very curious to know what we might do with Zama and Mexico fields and there are a few things we do know which might lead us to guess what will happen.

1 The Mexico government want it started as soon as possible and we have no major planned spend in Mexico until 2028.

2 Harbour have multiple places to spend their money and is this going to give them the best bang for their buck.

3 Are the tariffs and the Donald effect added to the fact that Mexico is known as a basket economy and "wild west" aspect of the country factors causing concern.

4 The major holder shareholder Pemex would be bankrupt several times if it wasn't for government funding. I think they are approx 70$ billion in debt. Are they a reliable partner.

5 Is the lack of infrastructure in place currently a factor.

6 Talos have been shafted by Pemex already once over operatorship so that muddies the water.

7 And the most important one is we have the richest man in Mexico involved in Harbour, Talos and the Mexican govenment.

So might Harbour either sell the whole things to Slim and his crew or do a free carry for a less percentage....

So the discussions about Harbour taking over operatorship from Pemex have now been going on for 3 months. Surely they must be there by now?

Slim owns 80% of the 17.4% through his purchase of Talos Mexico and we own 32%.

So I guess the discussion is how many extra % we are given in exchange for stumping up the cash or how much extra Slim gets if it’s joint Operatorship.

Either way surely we must be nearly at decision time now..!!!!!!

Indonesia wants gas producers to increase supplies to domestic users as demand is rising. However, producers mostly prioritise exports of liquefied natural gas and have asked the government to review price caps on domestic gas, arguing that it does not make good business sense when spot prices for LNG are so much higher.

The United Arab Emirates explorer expects to start gas production at Tangkulo-1 in its south Andaman block in late 2028. On Tuesday, it signed an initial agreement to supply gas to state fertiliser maker Pupuk Indonesia.

Is this good or bad for us to do a deal and get cracking in Mexico. Maybe positive as ours give us, Slim and Talos more coverage?

I’m very confident that the EPL will be amended in the near term if oil stays at this level which it’s expected to do.

The reason being the Treasury will see less and less coming in every month and are now likely to be getting less than before the tax was created.

I’m all for the EPL but only in the right circumstances…

The way Trump is driving the ship nothing would surprise me.

Come on Harbour… Do the deal with BASF at £2.30 and we can move on.

And you Argies and Mexicians get cracking as well……😂 😂

We have such diverse assets I’m not to worries about North Sea.

Either the government come up with a new scheme or everyone not just Harbour will cease investing long term and the government will make zero £££.

Argentina looks amazing and when the LNG process is sorted will be even better and we can spend our dollars there, Mexico, Norway and a host of other places….

There are so many countries in the world like BP I would like to hope this would be part of the settlement.

Add to this that Russia will try to shake off its Pariah status who know what could happen.

But for Russian to get back to worldwide recognition via Trump it’s got to be worth something….

Just been listening to Capitol Markets presentation again.

Zama is on the governments list for strategic priorities which hopefully should mean they get cracking soon.

With Pemex taking a back seat potentially and us potentially having operatorship it will be so interesting to see how the players all end up..

Pemex, Talos, Slim, Harbour….interesting times…..

So Gas is up 5%.

We are 60%-70% Gas

And we are down 1.5-2%.

I mean. It’s easy to follow isn’t it….😂😂
