Clearly the company think the company is under valued currently to want to rush back to Buybacks as opposed to investing this money or paying down further debt....

Its very strange. Shell deliver results year in year out but no one seems to have much to say about them.

A good update might taken us near the fabled £15...Will we get over it 4th time of trying....

So the results are in......

BP up 2.5% on last week.

Not to bad considering oil is down 1.5$ dollars on the week.

However given the update we had I cant help but feel a tad disappointed and under whelmed.....

Onwards to next week.....

Sometimes I forget how big, big projects actually are. And forget that Shell have many many of them.

This is one is in Kazakhstan and between them the partner have spent 27$ Billion so far...Thats a lot of bucks...

Im a strong believer that Shell is a great long term buy as is BP.

But I just wonder why the market isnt buying into the Shell story tet and we seem to be struggling to get an traction.

I know we have a way to go to get out of this madness but the rest of the oil world seems to be pushing on much better than us.

These assets we have purchaaed from Kosmos energy seen pretty decent.

We bought them for 95$ million plus contingent payments and they could be very very decent.....

Just shows the way these super major work. Let others do some of the work and then gobble them up.....

No. I think the opposite.

I think everyone needs some patience to wait for Covid to end and things to get back to normal.

BP have already said they are making money hand over fist and will pay down debt and start buy backs.

Yes there is a move away from fossil fuels and If that was all we did I would be concerned.

BP in my opinion have visionary leaders and whilst the move to green/renewable isnt welcomed by all it will be the way of the world going forward. Early movers usually pay off.

Shops, Chemicals, Hydrogen, Trading, engineering, Waves, Wind, Bioenergy and ofcourse we had a bit of il and gas....

Im suprised you posted that you thought no one on here knows whats going on. Without being unpleasant thats pretty obvious and is true with every share in the world.

We all makes our decisions based on different thoughts and beliefs.

Mine is that BP is a great company based on current assets, profits, future plans etc etc.

However i bit of bad luck such as major oil leak, Covid staying etc and I could lose the lot.

Its not necessary mad to finance shares or funds based on your income, risk tolerance and debt levels etc.

We are all different with different plans.....
