Nearly 75% going for a higher price this week.

Have the hares got it or will the foxes prevail....

That’s a tough question.

Shell has further to rise to get back to old price but with a smaller dividend might take longer. It also didn’t have as good as Q1 AS BP but is likely to have a better Q2.

Both have same strategy as in milk the oil and gas for profit and spend a decent amount on their new futures which is renewables of various shapes and sizes.

So for me its Shell short term and both med and long term.

Im in both so heads or tails for me….

Some great points however I’m sure I completely agree.

I see BP as a see saw which is slowly changing position.

Oil price is going higher and so will our share price, we then make more profit and then we paydown debt quicker, invest in green more and return more capitol to shareholders.

So the see saw changes position over time…..I know I’m a simple person…lol..

I know we thought it was strange that he didnt do the Q1 but that is apparently the way Shell and a few others do things....Very strange...

I want to be the first to admit I dont understand any of what you say but well done you it looks like great analysis and i am sure the other chartist will jump in later.

So just the simple bit for me please.........

"The bottom of that channel was 313 on friday, 317 on coming mon, 321 tue, 325 wed, 329 thu, 333 fri, 337 next mon with 9p height of channel might give 346 pivot touch, but something would likely have to get brent to $73 approx, maybe the dollar will go above 1.4 as some are suggesting or something else...

Are you saying this is where you expect the price to hit on these days ?.

BP has roughly 10 Billion barrel of reserves at present.

To me it looks like the pace of renewable may be slower than expected. If that is the case and BP need to increase their reserves which company or reserves would you buy......

I think Zama which is owned by Harbour and a couple of billion barrel might be a decent shout ??

Any thoughts ??

Shell have proven reserves of roughly 9 Billions barrels at present and whilst this sounnds a lot there is plenty more cheap oil fields or companies to buy.

Harbour have the giant Zama field and Sea Lion in the Falklands, Genel Somalialand, GKP have Shaikan, Tullow Kenya and thats just for starter.

There are many many cash strapped oilers who Shell could easily swallow up and I would imagine if present usage is going to increase for a few years they might need to look for new reserves.

I know there future is in renewables but they are a long long way away for now.....

Based on the companies you follow would you buy any more reserves and if so which assets ???
