I know we recently set up a new oil company for our assets but with Russia now out of bounds I wonder if we might look again at Iraq.

Petrobras (NYSE:PBR +0.1%) said Monday that it discovered an oil accumulation in the southern part of the Campos Basin, racking up another find in Brazil's offshore pre-salt area.

The discovery was made in the 1-BRSA-1383A-RJS well in the Alto de Cabo Frio Central bloc, which is operated an 50%-owned by Petrobras and 50% owned by BP.

The consortium said it will continue drilling the well to the originally planned final depth to assess dimensions of the new accumulation and to characterize quality of the fluids and reservoirs found.

Aah… Fidelity….

So the lock-ins are now finished.

No idea of the volumes being bought and sold but there doesn’t seem any mad rush to the exits

Do we know when these finish. Is it now or new financial year.

Lots happening this year and next with Harbour.

Tolmont should be on the go by now and next year we look at Tolmont East.

Then we have Tuna and Zama which should be decided next year.

To be honest I’m quite surprised we have had our cheque book out at the current price of oil and Gas but I guess the sellers are no longer in a rush to off load.

Rosneft is the key and things will improve when this is sorted.

Ofcourse we won’t get full value but Rosneft is a cash cow so someone will stump up decent mo st or perhaps an asset swap with Indians, Chinese etc is the way forward.

Worth remembering BP are printing g money at this price and will need to spend a lot of it to keep the windfall boys happy….

Batteries, Hydrogen, Convienisnce, Wind we are in to it all…

No wonder the price wont rise much.
