So we could certainly ramp up our shale assets and also we have a large field in Iraq which we could up producxion with.

Then you have Guyana where everybody who drills seems to hit oil.

Somalialand...Genel have been hawking this.

So BP certainly aren't up the creek without a paddle....

We just have to have a rethink and decide where it is best for us to swim.....

The whole market is all over the shop at the moment so where we could end up who knows.

On top of this BP has the Rosneft money on its back. This is a huge huge problem with anything up to a 25$ Billion doller hit. On top of this you have production growth for years to come, divdends etc...

Im still holding a decent BP holding as I still believe we have amazing assets and a good strategy. Am I right ...Who knows.

However I think at this price its fair value and when things settle down we should rise again.

Don't forget all even thought the SP is not in a happy place BP are making record profits every day.....

That is the million dollar question. And I can give you the answer with 100% certainty, Completely guaranteed and would stake my everything I have on it.......

The reason I am holding is I hope that
1 Tolmont comes online
2 The locked shares disappear and have a positive affect.
3 Production over 200k BOPD is confirmed.
4 Other new projects get the nod to go ahead.

If some/all of these things occur.....We could do OK....

I don't see any problem with a Windfall tax in fact I believe passionately that its the right thing to do. It's how a fair society works and there are many many people struggling so morally we should help...

Also regarding Shells strategy I think it's the right one but with any transition it will take a long time to be formulated or show any profit...Some but we will get right others will be a disaster but so will everybody else's....

Im pretty simple so if we make most of our profit in Oil and Gas and long term we wont supply these what do we do.

The world will still need energy so it has to be renewables, Wind, Wave, Hydrogen, Battery, Biofuels...etc etc...

BP is surely a mixed bag company which is in my opinion a great thing...A bit of oil, a but more gas and more renewables....

On finance, paying down debt, Increase dividends, Share Buy backs and invest as much as possible on gas and Renewables...

The world is short of oil.

We produce oil and can increase production.

Prices are at the highest for years..

Given our loss of Rosneft we might be looking for some new production...If so where could this come from...Well to be honest there are many many countries....I'll start with this one...

USA...We own vast areas of Texas and Louisiana...We have already increased our spending from 1$ Billion to 1..5$ Billion this year but we could press the pedal and increase much much more......

And don't forget we could stop our divestments now ???
