Rookie, Even the most confident of investors are feeling rubbish after today. Another big drop for no reason.
Crazy when oil has hardly moved and we technically produced 500k barrels.
Start to wonder if oil and gas is really the past?..
Re the competition of this deal is due to be done in Q4. Now I would imagine some of that is buffer so as not to look bad. We could have it all sorted out earlier.
Whilst I have an unhealthy amount in Harbour I believe it will come good and 500k of production per day can’t be ignored. I’m also comforted that BASF and Letter One are happy to get into bed with us at least short term.
I think German who must be the biggest concern re the deal will be happy to let it go through especially as they are a very green country and we’re dealing in dirty and bad commodities. Lest we forget the world couldn’t survive without it currently.
With everything time and patience will tell us if we are on a Winner.. Good luck all…
Always worth another look….

I can’t think of any reason why the deal won’t get done.
The top people in numerous companies have green lighted it to this stage and multiple banks have casted their eyes over it and given it the green light also.
Whilst I understand the time it will take to get approvals from governments they really don’t have much to disagree with as most governments policy is that oil and gas is bad.
So I think it’s full steam ahead, plenty of bumps in the road but I expect an SP of over £3.60 well before the deal is completed.
One final thing….Drilling results from Andaman and Norway are due in the next week or so.
Boom…….
Hi Collingham,
I’m not Charty at all. What do they say please?
Thanks
Well a pretty grim week but only a moment in time.
Not a perfect storm but a tough week with oil and Gas against us and GS with their rating.
Things can change very quickly in this game and as much as we were promised 100$ oil this winter and got less than 80$ things could easily work the opposite way very quickly.
Remember we have some amazing assets both now and in the future and are getting paid for production of over 500k barrels per day.
There were many many clever heads involved in this deal from many companies, countries and banks and they must have been pretty sure it would get the green light to proceed with it.
That’s what I’m holding on to and why I have a decent amount invested.
Here’s to Ireland, England and Scotland winning the rugby, everyone having a good weekend and coming back to face the week refreshed on Monday.
Life is short…. Enjoy every second….
No Harbour but quite interesting in the fact that hardly any real interest.
Will the government ever get serious about the North Sea..??

Just wondered if anybody has any idea why Shell keep their debt so high. Currently 43$ Billion which they seem very happy with.
Would have thought that they would have taken the opportunity to pay a bit more down than they have down?
I didn’t realise but if the deal goes ahead we already have production in Mexico, the big beast Zama and some other fields still to be explored.
Not sure about the tax and stability side but I’m sure due diligence has been done….

Argintina holds more of our resources than any other country.....IF
IF and its a big IF all goes well with the merger we will begin production from Fenis Gas Development Project in early 2025.
Sounds a pretty serious development, has cost over 700$ million and we own 35%..or might..

Most oilers having a positive start but we seen to be struggling to get going.
Hopefully things progressing in the background.
Heres to moving forward.....
Completely agree.
A nice steady 4% rise is always appreciated.
Meanwhile information going out to governments to get the deal sorted and drillers drilling many many places.
So far so good......
Wells thats a pretty clear and concise explanation. Best I have ever seen to be honest. Thank you so much.
Fingers crossed it all comes together now, oil playing its part this evening for sure.
I guess the most exciting stuff is Norway, Indonesia and Mexico of our own drilling but when our new love settles in Argentina is truly huge....
Heres to the future.....
Hi Stevo,
Great analysis.
As you say the paid a heavy price for the deal but there does seem to be a lot of flex in the resources but Harbour have a great track record expanding these number.
Harbour really do have lots of opportunities all over the world and with a fair wind I’m sure they’ll do well. I also think there could be some movement in the WFT if the government want the industry to continue. Labour also need all the Scots votes so they might become a bit more realistic.
Just listened to the podcast and it sounds like both of our new partners won’t be in bed with us for long based on Linda’s comments.
I also think Buy Backs will be a big part of the plan going forward to slowly help mop up the shares.
I’m still a bit concerned about this mythical guaranteed £3.60 share price but hopefully all will be well.
Step by step. A long journey to get the deal completed by we are on the move...
