Copper is gaining from market needs regardless of Powell speech come September.

That’s my take on Soyabean oil by the way, not copper.

(July 28th = 5000).

In my humble opinion, based on dire export model from US. If you invest now and can wait till September for the Powell agreement of a 0.25% reduction, then no reason it won’t go back, even more.

Back again, my humble understanding of the market, nothing you should take as investment advice.👍👍

Soyabean oil currently 3933 on IG.

High of 5000 a few months ago.

All DFBs are different. So please don’t use my indication as a stellar punt. Just something I’m doing.

And I know it’s maybe not for you but high grade copper looks good long term.

I’m thinking a few quid in that soon.

As you know, I’m LTH with shares so the whole “quick buy, quick sell” scares me a little as I’m simply not good enough to know the best times to do it!

I mention IG as they do the spread betting (DFBs, something I NEVER do for investment purposes, but something I do when I see an obvious stock/commodity on the rise). I thought that was your platform, apologies if not.

I’ve changed my tune a little to be frank. I think a considered approach to DFBs is warranted if you know what you’re doing.

My LTH rise a few percentage points a day so I like to be entertained with the DFBs every now and again.

I know most lose on those, but with a considered approach, it can gain, hence my Silver and Soyabean Oil.

Soyabean Oil already up quite considerably for me.

As a LTH, I take ALL as profit, then look to reinvest.

But to be given decent info and then looking at the relative graph, it’s a bit of a no brainer.

I don’t normally do what you do mate but silver was a given based on gold rising to its premium last week.

Never usually partake but had to do it and a very easy sum of money made.

The soyabean oil (I’ve been told) destined to rise a few hundred points back to normality so I’ve had a ‘punt’ on that today.

Let’s see.

I expected a loss last week (down to 4.90 ish) but it’s proven it’s worth.

If we get the US rate cut in September, that ‘should’ give us a £5.75-£6.00 end of month, way ahead of my expectations of £7 come Feb 2025.

Powell will be a fool not to do it. We’ve already seen a huge increase in property purchases based on our 0.25% drop.

Goes to show people with money are waiting in the sidelines to get houses purchased - I’m sure Powell will see that?

So with FTSE confidence alone, this is £7 come Feb. And the likes of PEAKDREAD, will be righteous in my very conservative valuation.
