I've liked your post Pete, as I want to agree with you - but that's simply not how Tufan work's mate.

He's about confident investment in core business. He will do everything possible to get SMR past finishing line for UK gov investment, but trust me - he'll drop it like a rock if he doesn't get it. The international market will continue and he'll no doubt sell the while SMR equity to then get back to core business.

I more than welcome the “he knows it all”, “following a cat?”, comments as truth is truth.

For the interim, of course it is, but long term?

Changes as the result of war have to happen and in this case, no changes will occur, so we’ll have the same crap in 6/12/18 months.

I’m central when it comes to politics, but I do feel there has to be a substantial change as an outcome of any war, otherwise it continues for ever.

Peace agreements prolong the absolute certainty of one benefactor. I’d rather that happens sooner than later.

Without going over old ground, It’s very clear from RR Plc that they (Tufan) wants/needs a government commitment come November.

RR SMR Ltd balance sheet is dire (the 2022 accounts) and the 2023 accounts will be even worse - hence Tufan asking for funding (he’s playing his poker hand).

Let’s not forget the difference in the two companies. And yes, there is a difference.

Tufan will no doubt sell the whole holding in RR SMR Ltd if the government don’t play ball in November.

He’ll concentrate on core business plus the narrow body enterprise.

November is a pivotal point for RR PLC.

…. And I totally agree that the SP won’t continue to rise by 7% every month.

I said from 2020 that it ‘should’ be a 70bln MCap. And thankfully that’s happening in Feb 2025.

Although the likes of SF would like to say I’m leasing the pack, I’m really not (as you more educated shareholders out there know).

I’m merely pointing out the percentage increase needed for £7 come Feb 8th.

Initially, we needed investment grade of the big three, then we needed divs, then we needed confirmation of the SMR.

It was all factored in, and thankfully all are being factored in.

It’s not my opinion anymore, it’s becoming fact. So please, no hate warranted toward me, if that’s ok.

A little early as I’m away for a while.

August has given us an 8.26% increase and still a week to go.

We need 7% a month (compound) on current SP, well below recent months increase, to hit £7 come Feb 8th.

RR SMR Ltd’s accounts due in the next few days.

2022 figures showed a loss of £60m+ and I’m sure that’s going be at least double for 2023, hence Tufan playing his poker hand and suggesting extra funding requirements, and an ABSOLUTE deadline of November for the government to make their minds up.

It will be a game changer if/when it happens.

Until then, RR SMR Ltd aren’t looking to hot.

(Feels like we’re truly in that pirate ship discussing literature before the bad boys mutiny us!).
