It's a dying trade with AI but I'm old enough to live that out buddy. Give in 5 years and my work could well be replicated with a touch of a button.

I'm happy I've had 30 odd years doing it though, and people still seem to like my work (it's very retro 1950's style) but only a matter of time until the computers take over! 👍

Point of interest by the way, I'm an artist and I export 90% to the US.

Let's think about that - it costs me zero to produce the goods (computer work) then I sell to the US and they pay me money. I then use that money to spend in the UK. Effectively, I'm golden balls here as I've taken zero from the UK to fund my produce, then I get money from international companies to fund my lifestyle, spending it all in the UK. UK PLC are down nothing, and have earned money from my product (with me spending it here). Zero requirements from the UK and 100% increase in internal spend.

I totally agree with you - Whilst they earn their crust, the ones who make the money suffer, so many best to make sure your immediate family and friends are ok. If we all did that, we'll all be dandy.

we need to acknowledge that we live in a capitalist (whether right or wrong) state and therefore we need to do the best for the way we are working.... reform seem to have the business knowledge to get this agenda on board, after then we can obviously vote them out if need be.
