I think you are right that been taken over. The process been going on since early Jan that was the deadline for offers. If there were no offers i am sure would of heard at the end of the consulting process mid feb. If it has dragged on to this date without no news. Surely must mean there is still working ongoing, either offer accepted or still bartering. The only thing which concerns me that they do a OCH. Release a RNS oh btw the talks collasped a few weeks ago, sorry didn't we tell you shareholders that! I can;t see a big pharma company letting this go. What ATD do is a vital part of R&D of drugs. However as we all know a bit like football clubs. If a club has a star player and the bigger club knows the smaller must sell then they tend to get a bargain. I am wondering if that will happen here.However I can't see director accepting any lower then the current SP so any deal made I am sure we will see some profit on our investment here.

Anyones guess. Though the directors brought in last June for 11.75 (and higher over prevouis years). I would think they want at least 12p for their troubles I would think. Unless they think they the offers are not good enough and decide to plug on with bio-seek with hoping to turn it all around. If they can expire the debt then now reason this can't turn around. Remember it was only the influx of demand which they couldn't keep up with which put ATD back! There is demand for what ATD do and they up there in their field.

From reading the RNS again. It kinda saying they have 28 days from Mid feb, which take it to around 15th March. I spoke to ATD last week & they said they trying to keep to the published deadlines. So I take it they thinking they have until mid march to release news!

I think it's a case that the MM don't want you to buy! I just did a dummy sell, getting offered 5.61 for £1k of shares. The bid is currently listed as 5.25. So it seems they publishing a wider spread to deter buyers, but as I said beforehand very happy to take these off you!

Agree with the comms issue. It's very poor. I mean they could easy just say talks ongoing (if they are). Well done on top slicing. I should of done the same at 9.25! The only thing which concerns me is that we all know how this goes down on the slightest sell. If there is no offer news I can see a few selling and moving on which could bring it down to 3/4p for the short term. Though I would hope in any case of no offer RNS, the BOD makes an updated trading statement of some kind to back up the future direction. It's the most logical thing to do. However AIM directors rarely seem to be ever logical!

I re-read the ADFVN artticle. It's good postive reading. It was interesting to read that they had an offer in the past, but couldn't come to an agreement. I wonder how much that was for? The only issue with the article it relates to 2008-10 a lot. We all know currently that things have changed a bit for Asterand over the last year in regards to more debt! However, the way I am looking at this. Either at present a offer comes in at +12p to get the directors to sell. Or ATD can turn the debt around and decide to go alone, then within 12 months a good chance they could get profits back to 2010 levels of around 20P? I can certainly see why a Pharma company would be very interested in ATD especially in the P&D dept for drugs etc. I think it boils down to 2 things. Either we get the quick short rewards in the form of a TO. Or we have to wait until 2013 for ATD to work the profits up via bio-seek which is always possible. Either way if anyone invests in here from this point I don't think they will lose any money, if they factor in waiting to 2013 as a contingency.

You right about the spread. I found whenever I done dummy sells they always seem to offer well above the stated bid. Normally in past with other shares if the MM don't want a certain share often go to NT in any volume. However with ATD they always willing to take them off your hands.
