Great news on the charity front, however at the risk of sounding like a broken record, why have we stopped pushing our products? No longer promoting our latest products, such as SNPsig and the Antigen LFT, can only hope that demand is in excess of supply and therefore no need to push products via social media.

I'd take the passenger stats with a pinch of salt, I'm working within the industry and although many destinations are once again available the passenger numbers are poor. Yesterday a B737 (capacity 189) to Mahon with only 70 passengers. An A320 to Barcelona approx 40 passengers. Jet2 appear to be combining flights, for instance Jet2 have just landed at Stansted from Newcastle to pick up passengers for Gran Canaria, similar situation with other bases at Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast. The Aviation industry still facing significant head winds, although end of the day, I'm sure that NCYT shall be seeing some benefit.

The RNS from the 29/06 states that the LFT for professional use already has a CE mark and 'this product is available immediately.'

However a month later, zero visibility, no further tweets and not on sale via any of our distributors. Can only hope that the DHSC are purchasing the job lot, although it was stated 'the Company will initially target private market opportunities for these LFTs via its existing distribution network.'

Reading between the lines....a month later we have approximately 4 million LFT within a warehouse and not For Sale?!

Presumably Eurofins have sold millions of their LFT, therefore why would NCYT quote a test sample of 300 plus if it was exactly the same test. Also, a month after our test was released and meant to be available immediately, how come not listed for sale with any of our distributors? Even the listing upon the Microgen website hasn't been completed, simply a link to the RNS from the end of June No further Tweets reference the LFT that was meant to be available. All very poor in my opinion.

Novacyt's Respiratory Product Manager has been promoted to Head of Clinical Performance, congratulations to Seden.

Check the tweets from Novacyt Group within recent weeks, there has been a change, they have stopped pushing specific products such as SNPsig, GENSIG 3G and LFT Pathflow range. Why the change? My theory is that at present demand exceeds supply, NCYT are shifting everything that they can produce.

They launched the new Antigen LFT that was available immediately, initial production previously quoted at 1 million Antigen a week, there was one tweet following the launch 3 weeks ago and then deadly silence, therefore can only assume that we are shifting the lot, there's nothing within the Warehouse. Same goes for SNPsig and GENSIG 3G, they've gone quiet and therefore someone is purchasing the job lot. DHSC?

Thing is, no longer about normal COVID testing, it's about variant detection and guess which company is leader of the pack?!

Assuming that NCYT is supplying SNPsig as per the RNS (17/05), a very conservative 10,000 tests a day (<20% of the > 50,000 positive samples a day), translates to £4.5m a month in revenue for SNPsig alone.....and that's just the NHS.

Consider that the UK is just the tip of the Iceberg and the global potential, going forward could easily multiply the above revenue estimate by 10.

Newcastle Airport use NPH Group for on site testing, collecting samples, NPH then pass the samples to MDNA, my understanding is that MDNA use Primerdesign.

There's no confirmation as to the exact number, however SNPsig has been included within the national framework and this national framework is for testing of all positive SARS-CoV-2 samples from NHS (pillar 1) and high throughput Lighthouse (pillar 2) laboratories in England.

Therefore I feel safe to assume that NCYT have a sizeable proportion of the 50,000, which is not insignificant.

Plus 50,000 SNPsig daily.... a month ago the numbers were insignificant.

Left with £72m in cash? Provision has already been made for the warranty claim, assuming that NCYT can replace as per their provision of £19.8m, there shall be no impact upon cash.

We know that Novacyt are supplying SNPsig to the NHS under the framework, as per the RNS 17/05/2021. This national framework is for testing of all positive SARS-CoV-2 samples from NHS (pillar 1) and high throughput Lighthouse (pillar 2) laboratories in England.

With approximately 50,000 positive tests a day and the UK commitment to testing all positive samples in order to determine variant, any thoughts for levels of additional revenue being generated?

Assuming 25% of all positive samples being subject to SNPsig, that's 12,500 tests a day, at £20 a test, that would be £250k/day, £1.75m/week, £7.5m/month.

I've noticed that Novacyt have gone very quiet on Twitter, a couple of weeks back and every other day the company was pushing/tweeting SNPsig and the benefits for avoiding vaccine escape in the fight against COVID. My guess is that all available supply is meeting the high demand, therefore counter productive pushing the product upon social media if not in a position to meet further demand at present.

Hopefully a nice surprise in the next trading update.

QuantuMDX target the N Gene and S Gene, however Primerdesign are targeting the M Gene and S Gene.....what's the significance?

An interesting device from QuantuMDX, I feel that there's a market for it, however wonder how the price compares to the Q16/Q32.

I'm not so sure about the Miami contact details following the appointment of Kevin Crittenton.

Based upon Linkedin data, Novacyt have only the one person within the USA, there was a woman employee based in the Miami area, however she went missing shortly after Kevin arrived. I think it is all change in the USA, the decks have been cleared.

Would be interesting to learn more about our market share, how many of the 400 test providers are using Primerdesign?

The move followed an investigation by The Telegraph that found most of the cheapest test providers, all advertising kits at below £20, had been lambasted in consumer reviews by holidaymakers angry over non-existent or late test results, delays or blanked calls.
By late Friday, the DHSC, which is responsible for the site, appeared to have revamped the prices, with Expert Doctors going from £1.99 to £117.99. Others increased from £4.85 to £119, £4.99 to £119.99, and £7.50 to £155.

The cost of kits from 1010Labs, apparently cited on Times Radio on Friday morning by Mr Shapps as offering tests from £2.49, was reconfigured as £99.99 by Friday evening.
