Thanks to the orange one and his tariffs, oil is down to $63 and FTSE is off 250+ pre market

There seems no confidence to start any sort of market bounce, but the yield on the dividend here must 12% or perhaps higher? Not sure what support (if any) that may lend to the price but with these tariffs and the EPL needing to be in place six months, north sea oil is looking fragile

Signs that 2p is forming a base (woo hoo) and to not be down today is quite an acheivement!

I 100% want that 500k trade to have a been the buy that caused the price to fly this morning

Is there a chance the price was pumped to give someone a juicy exit? The price did come off very sharply after 11:15

Well the current downmove started at 11:10 when the price went into auction with the quote at 19-21

Since then weve only had a visible 130k of sells yer its been chopped to 16-17

The market hasnt exactly reacted much at all....this morning looked a bit negatuve up to lunchtime but its gone a bit flat since then. Im not sure though that we can treat the buy/sell reporting as entirely accurate today

Are we seeing the flip side of "new ISA allowance buying" today ie people selling to crystallise a tax year loss in 2024/25?

Either way, the splurge of buying weve seen recently seems to have fizzled out, though of course it could just be down to a Trump related, bad day in the markets

...also 8.6m shares is around 0.6% of issued shares, so its unlikely to be short-closing related as no one has disclosed a position of that size
