The UT wasnt great but weve had worse in the past. At the time Brent was below $61 and headlower - its recovered to $61.35 now

The oil story is seemingly bleak all round.....so bad the prophet of doom Stupmy has arrived again (kidding mate)

Never mind its Friday tomorrow and we all know how much HBR loves Fridays......aaaargh!

I wonder if theres any impending deal news incoming (more significant than the Indonesian RNS) that might have caused the buyback to stop.?

They were buying approx 500k a day recently between 2.06 and 2.14 so this seems like a wasted opportunity

However I think the share price slide is more related to Brent's slide down to the $61 area

Having listened to the webcast (and yes some things about it were poor) I remain neutral/positive going into the New Year.

What I do find dificult to reconcile however is how timely they were in informing the market that the tox study had been terminated. After what we all thought was around 16 weeks, people were sitting here waiting for results and next steps. We now find that it was terminated after 4 weeks. That surely cannot be good practice, or am I getting things wrong?

Have just been reading some articles about price predictions for 2026 and it doesnt make happy reading

Just about all major banks are predicting Brent to average below $60, and some as low as $52, due to an impending supply glut. Open short positions are also at a record high for December through February

One can only hope that this all proves a massive contra-indicator, but I cant help sensing the Hand of Trump behind all of this

His blood pressure certainly seemed to rise when questioned on the lack of BoD share buying.

Ive just looked down the RNS list for the last two years, and can see only one "Director Dealings" that isnt related to exercise of options or subscriptions to a placing. Those pesky advisors preventing them from buying.....how do other companies get away with it eh?

I am not in the ramping camp, but what exactly were you expecting them to say this morning? Would you prefer a downbeat tone RNS that craters the share price?

Well my initial impression is that they have hired someone who can write a positive RNS. We all know its not sunshine and roses, but under the circumstances its probably as positive as we can get

Hopefully BS detectors will be turned up to the max at the AGM

Indeed.....the effective bid price has risen to 12.71 this afternoon- we're in the money lol

The jump in volume hopefully suggests a positive RNS tomorrow over and above the usual AGM fare

Once again trades will be misreported currently as the actual spread is 12.02 - 12.24
