The trades around 12.18p are morely likely to be buys than sells as im getting quoted 12.02 - 12.125 (uurgh)

You would also tank the share price as income seeker were forced to sell up. Regardless of alternative intentions, massive cuts to the dividend sends the wrong signal imho and never usually goes down well

If you repay $500m of debt it doesnt increase equity. All it does is move money out of the bank deposits and reduce debt = net move of zero

Only retaining profits or issuing shares increases equity (with some exceptions)

We passed the 2/3 completion point during the last seven days. Another rough week which saw the vwap surplus replaced by a deficit of 9.3p Average daily spending jumped noticeably by £23.7k and thus buyback period was shortned by approx 4 days

Based on $100m = £75.5m, buyback is projected to last 117 trading days / 37 days remaining

Well judging by the increased selling this afternoon, the negativity on this board is starting to work I would say

Yesterday/today (cant be an exact science) sees us pass the 2/3 completion mark of the current buyback

Would still estimate end-Jan/1st week of February for completion, depending on festive holiday

Im not a charting guru, but there are some pretty clear support and resistance levels you can see on the aformentioned chart

Yesterdays knee jerk drop has taken us away from strong resistance at 230+ down to previous moderate support around 207. If this goes there is stronger support around 191. Below that my old mate Stupmy will be on here more often :) (only kidding)

Like I said yesterday, I think we may have to let the dust settle on the new oil/gas price mechanism to see what industry players say.....thankfully Brent has srtabilise for now, fingers crossed that 207 holds

Well the likelihood of finding a buyer for the NS assets has been improved slightly now that future rules are known. However they would have to be taking a long view - ie four more years of punishing tax to get through, in the hope that the changes from 20230 make it worthwhile?

I would hope that when the respective plans were discussed, they wouldnt have assumed any early changes to the EPL. Far too risky imho. Nice surprise if it had happened, but now they know the details and a start date.

Jeez...people have been moaning about HBRs debt being high, but TLW's looks to be $1.2bn on production of only aroun 42k boepd, Lot of money owed by an african government as well....I doubt that will end well

Shame....the staff deserve better
