If it shows imminent prospect of turning 3, why not buy in then? Depending on how much you were intending to top-up, you'd only be saving a few quid if you buy immediately. If it turns 3 and heads to 4, that's another matter, though. That Suisse thing IS interesting, isn't it?

I am selfishly hoping that these don't drop down to 2.25. Rather that they breach 3 and hurtle onwards, never looking back.

Depending on your liquidity, you might consider the building firm. See board for Swiss developments. Though if you are determined to top up here tomorrow, I'd do it early.

Thanks for that. But I've heard of instances (not necessarily with Waterhouse) where folk have executed a buy at a shown price, only to find that, when the whole thing is processed, a totally different price is given. The same with sells, etc. Have you heard of/experienced that sort of thing?

Not wishing to sound naive, how does that work? Is that online buying/selling? Is that all conducted electronically? Are you at the mercy of the machine? Do things sometimes go wrong? Are you always able to get the prices you want etc? In my limited trading life, I've always used a broker directly - by telephone. Yes, I seem to pay a premium for their services, but they always seem to tell me straight if they can do business for me. And if they they can't......?

As a matter of fact, one of our magazines was aiming to do an article featuring the design process of Lombard's stents, but for whatever reason this didn't come about (I think there was some kind of delay in getting the specs through to us, I don't know). But it's telling that, according to our writer involved, LMT's CEO dealt with the whole matter personally, from the initial call onwards. Very hands-on. A wise relative of mine who has been trading for years turned me on to TW. He bought absolute bucket loads at 5p, and never lost faith throughout. Not for the want of trying, he eventually persuaded me to invest (it was 19p by then). Another 'if only' story........

As much faith as I have in this stock, I don't see it jumping to £1 over the next few days - I've said before that I consider it a long-termer. So, if you know of somewhere else to make a quicker buck in the meantime, and have some funds, you might do worse than putting it there. You'd could always top up here with the profits! Having said that, LMT will probably jump to 10p on some amazing news, just as soon as you've spent all your dough! lol. The building firm is stable so far as I can see. Unfortunately, I have to work for a living, and my employers take a dim view of me watching stock all day, so I've not been able to take advantage of the dips etc. Good luck to those who have! Windowman does seem SURPRISINGLY ACCURATE in his predictions, and time will judge him one way or the other. I don't think he really cares a jot about the negativity. I just hope he doesn't take offense and stop posting!

Yes, a fall in price is always disappointing. But that's simply the way things go, as we all know. Stock prices go up. They go down. But things are generally looking good aboard HMS Lombard. Better than they have for quite a while. Do we worry about a drop of 2.68%? Ha! We laugh in the face of such a drop! lol

Yes indeed. That buy at 1,227,472 looks very promising, though I'm not sure what 'bargain conditions' means.

Yes. That's my interpretation of the situation as well. They must presume they'd gain more from holding the stock than interest on the loan. Hope their analysis is correct!

Not a bad day at all. The 'Octopus' affair looks interesting, and doesn't seem to have dampened anyone's ardour. Though, if I've understood the situation correctly, the Octopus stock doesn't become tradeable for a few days. Maybe the price will be slightly dissolved then. In the meantime, it looks like 2.9 is the buy price from here on in, and I'm very much looking forward to that first 3!!!!

What does this mean, in laymans terms? Is it the case the LMT owed Octopus a load of cash, and they have decided to redeem the loan in stock? What are the implications here, if any?
