That's one of the virtues of this stock, in my opinion. I've used the word 'sober' to describe the situation, in earlier posts, and I think that continues to apply. Growth will be sure, albeit slow, and I'd bank on that anytime, rather than more 'exciting' stock. I feel the same now applies to the famous British building firm, as well.

Yes. The company's product is just TOO GOOD to disappear! This is why I am never unduly concerned about LMTs financing problems - if the chips ever did hit the fan, another firm (very likely American) would snap this one up. Good luck, incidentally, with the famous British building firm tomorrow. Personally, I'm looking forward to it!

So, with your prognosis in mind, would you advise someone like me (who is already in profit) to sell up my entire holding now, and come back sometime in September? Personally, I believe there will be plenty happening between now and the Autumn, and anyone bailing out now would be disappointed if they attempted to get back on board at the present prices.

The company's products have ALREADY been approved for use in the NHS, so that must get them a very large foot in the door when it comes to research funding?

lol!!!! But seriously, LMT must be towards the front of the queue for some of this? Especially considering the vital nature of their work, and the potential contribution to British industry?

Things have been pretty turbulent all round today. So much seems to be going on - perhaps in anticipation of the budget (that reminds me, must get down the pub tonight, before Darling puts my pint up to £20 a go). But this little stalwart seems to have weathered the storm. A slight drop, but could have been much, much worse. Some confident buys going in. And some sells too - I guess this is too slow a boat for many and, it has to be said, there are certainly opportunities for faster action (and risk!) at the moment. My nerves aren't what they used to be, so I'm sticking with this, and other stable stock (is there such a thing?). nootame - I topped up on your favourite building firm this morning. Say again, Brian Howlett's approachability speaks volumes - ready and willing to talk about his company and their products, not hiding behind PA's, PR departments etc. Great stuff! Wonder how long this stock will remain really affordable?

Thank you for that report on the patent situation. In my experience, Mr Howlett is indeed approachable, and usually answers the phone himself. Very much a hands-on way of doing business. Excellent!

Yes indeed, reading back through the comopany's history is very sobering. And, yet, at the same time, totally inspirational in many ways. I quote from a bulletin in 2006: 'Lombard Medical Technologies PLC said it has temporarily suspended European clinical procedures involving its second generation of Aorfix endovascular stent graft and expects the move to trim 300,000 stg from 2006 sales. Lombard, which reiterated it still expects a full-year loss of between 11.0-11.5 mln stg, made the announcement after discovering a problem with the placement of the graft in a small number of patients. Lombard Medical said an investigation had found the problem was caused by a minor change in the manufacturing procedure of the delivery device for Aorfix.' I imagine that set-back would have floored many a firm. But, lo and behold, just a few weeks ago, stents were approved for NHS use by NICE! This outfit is pretty determined, it has to be said. And seeing that £1.50 price on the graph back then gives me hope, rather than the collywobbles!

3 would be inspirational! But would you feel happy selling up at that point, on the confidence of being able to buy back in on a retrace? Personally, I'm not so sure.......

Anyone like to guess what's going to happen here in the coming week? I'd be quite happy with a stabilization around 2.8 to 2.85. Three would be excellent, of course. Or will there be a retrace to our old friend 2.6? Blaser - you were quite accurate in your prediction of a jump up this week. Any thoughts for this week? I'm sure I speak for all the regulars here when I say that I'd be glad to hear your opinion. Anyway, good luck to everyone in this, and all your your investments!

I think it speaks loudly and very clearly for itself! And it seems people are starting to listen! I see you are also involved with that famous British building company! This looks like a good year for you so far!

What an exciting day! 2.95 is the closest I've seen this come to 3 so far! And I'm more than happy with the close at 2.8. Let's hope it stabilizes here, and gives confidence to potential investors waiting in the wings.
