Cat's out of the bag anyway, as we know who it was to, and that ti confirms Apple are still active with the company, albeit on a reduced scale for the time being.

I think that may have something to do with a next generation iwatch, with health monitor sensors, going by the background of the person it was sent to. Probably just early days however, and the project could get canned like the QD camera did for the iphone.

I suspect the vast majority of Pi’s in Nanoco, have held shares before the collapse in June and will be nursing averages in the 30-40p region. Certainly those who have bought in since June are likely to do very nicely, but not much of a boast when a company is on its knees. The big ii’s have mainly filled their boots when the share price is at Cushing lows, so even if the company isn’t sold at a low price, they’ll still make money.

Must have something special for Apple to be taking an interest, when they have two QD producers on home ground.

Samsung paid circa $70m for QD vision in 2016, and they didn't appear to have anything like what Nanoco have. Having said that, I think much would depend on how many companies would be interested in the acquiring Nanoco. As the saying goes, no one wants to eat in an empty restaurant.

Nanoco have never been candid enough for investors to do anything but speculate. it could have simply been down to price, performance or a combination of the two.

Some have reported rumours that there are consistency issues with the batch process. Legislation went against Nanoco back in 2016, the Apple contract was a lifeline that was severed in June. It seems they've run out of excuses and cash.

It's a task to pick the bones out of all the information over there. I guess the ii's pay researchers to do the heavy lifting for them.

It took around fifty years for Aluminium to turn from a lab experiment to a usable commercial product, also to get from discovery to a saleable product in around fifteen years is very fast.

Graphene is the ultimate modifier, but it's going to take time to scale in industry. I really like the approach AGM have taken with their Genable product, and I think it'll do well provided the products get some marketplace traction.

I think you'll have to be more patient than six months though, as they'e only at the very early stages of commercial sales. I think another year or two.

As I understand things, cadmium was further improved after the last Rohs extension, so Nanoco had to further enhance their dots. I think Cad free QD tech has always been a little bit below the performance of cadmium dots, but Nanoco claimed to produce the best cad free dots. Mind you Nanosys also make this claim- who to believe,? I guess orders will be the deciding factor.

I think so to- ii's got a heads up on forthcoming Rohs decision. Let's hope that is the case.

ST micro seem to be the major player in TOF sensors, so I would think it would be them. Surely a six times improvement in sensor performance in the infrared spectrum has to be something any manufacturer would be all over like a rash.

Only the ii‘s have the leverage to show senior executives the door. Is it management or product that is hindering sales? Not enough information to say for sure.

The further pixel shrinkage was only announced in September AFAIK, so a more recent improvement.

That was well known ages ago BBD, have you been living under a rock? He gave a portion of the sale to charity, which I believe is tax deductible is the US, but not greatly au fait with US taxation. You're entitle to your opinion, but i don't think stringing together a few old published quotes and figures is newsworthy.
