DA is clearly the force behind our forthcoming Investors relations meeting and thanks to the video we already have an idea of his style. I wish GM well and he has much to be proud of but hopefully our new CEO will steer us in a more focussed up front commercial direction probably the US. It may well be the big push we need to get us out of this rut and I am sure he will not leave his investors behind in terms of communications.

Thought they might have included this in forthcoming financial results tomorrow or Monday. Perhaps NCYT did not want anything to tarnish a good set of results.

I went out for a walk today by a local river. Nice sunny day and the area plus cafés and restaurants are normally packed with children. Today it was virtually empty. I guess most are off on holiday many within the UK so have turned of apps to avoid being pinged. I strongly suspect reduction in cases is due to this as families will be determined to get away. Just watch the cases escalate end August/beginning of September!

I would settle for that Kitzie -- in fact £8-£10 would do many of us admirably!

Doubtless many here will be sitting on a handsome profit hoping for more rich pickings soon from forthcoming Financial update. I suspect many more like me will be sitting on a substantial loss compounded by selling other holdings to buy NCYT swept away by the constant euphoria - in my case a further average 20% loss. Doubtless latest sales figures will show a surge in the SP especially if there is positive news on the DHSC fro nt. I think it was Kitzie who thought that 90% of shareholders would sell up on the sniff of a profit never to be seen again on this forum -- she may not be far from the truth! If this happens, doubtless the SP will plummet again to current stagnant levels. I am not even sure if GM's most glowing forward plan will make much of a difference either and institutions may still hold off buying. I expect nothing from this odd share but like many hope for a TO which may turn the past few months from a miserable watch to a modest celebration. Doubtless reams of stats etc will be forthcoming laughing at this scenario. Their upbeat expectations may well be realised in the fullness of time-- let's say several years but all too late for some of us. GLA

@Spinnaker. If it's any consolation we are both in the same boat. I would like to reduce my average through selling other holdings but my portfolio is already too lopsided so dare not risk buying any more. Goodness knows how long this saga will drag on and I had hope we would have been bought out by now. Strange that despite all the euphoria here that the institutions have not bought in. They must also do their research!

Digressing somewhat, I wonder if ShaunP sold out completely. He really blew a gasket in his last which took me by surprise (and has since been deleted. It seemed completely out of character. However, he said he invested much of the family silver so I guess, with his belt, braces and suspenders accountant/Company Secy background, he clearly could not afford to take any more risks and probably settled for a far smaller profit than anticipated. I still miss his posts as he asked questions noone else had thought of. However, I have never read a more angry post savaging the company and encouraging shareholder to sell up so I clearly never really knew the chap. Perhaps a message there for us all.

I suspect many are 'over exposed' to this share -- I certainly am and will sell a substantial part of their holding when they break even or make some profit. I will hold until I make a profit of sorts and then sell half for peace of mind as it has been a rough ride. The SP therefore may swing wildly for some time. All IMHO.

Unlike the UK Govt., the FDA rubbished Innova tests so does anyone know which company(ies) they are now using? It must now be well over a month since GM said that our new mouth swab LFT was awaiting clearance and would be released SOON (or words to that effect). Perhaps it's wishful thinking but I wonder if he is poised to announce a contract with the US in tamdem with a RNS re our new 'must have' LFT test with plenty of time to gear up supplies for schools etc. I suspect he would give them first refusal given the dire DHSC contract situation.

Part of one question directed to him was whether there were enough LFT and PCR tests in the system. He avoided answering this question.

For months we were bombarded by Tweets from Novacyt but this appears to have faded away. I like to think that our products are flying off the shelves so there is no need to advertise the company. Now there appears to be little or nothing which is a little surprising considering we strengthened our PR side of things. Perhaps all staff are grafting away in other areas and are not concerned by mere trifles! Perhaps GM will throw us a bone in a month or so...

Games officials now facing nightmare scenario owing to as yet a small Covid outbreak and isolation. Feel sorry for all these athletes who have trained so hard for years. Wonder if any Nova kit is being used. Listening to the World news tonight much of the world appears to be in a turmoil re Covid. And yet we go gaily ahead tomorrow with our so called Freedom day.... a misnomer if there ever was one! Another U turn by Boris... this govt. appear so out of touch with reality. Now 3 of our top ministers in isolation...

And yet Israel, now extremely worried by the Delta variant are vaccinating all teenagers! I suspect we will follow suite but all too late...

... on the acquisition front also. I wonder if this DHSC dispute is holding Nova back from snapping up another company likely to further increase its strength on the diagnostic front. IT-IS was a shrewd buy last year and I feel sure GM is poised to make another purchase but for this annoying hold up.

Health secretary Sajid Javid has tested positive for Covid-19, despite having received both vaccination jabs.

In a video message on his Twitter feed, the health secretary said that his symptoms were “very mild” and he was self-isolating at home with his family.

His initial positive test was provided by a quick-turnaround lateral flow test, and he is now awaiting confirmation from a PCR test, which is known to be more reliable.
