I am heavily invested in SNG (as well as Novacyt) but am becoming increasing concerend about my investment in view of all the competitor drugs coming on the market the latest being Ronapreve which prevents infection and reduces the need for hospital treatment and has now been approved for use in the UK - all great news for mankind! However, rightly or wrongly, I am beginning to think that if SNG does not become available by the end of this year, it will be overtaken by equally good if not better products. A buy out by a big pharma, therefore, may be necessary to give it the huge boost it sorely needs. I appreciate the drug also has other benefits re respitory infections. I bow to the vastly superior knowledge of many on this bb but unless I hear a comnpelling enough argument for SNG, I think I will be forced to substantially cut back on my SNG holding and plough the proceeds into NCYT which has a far wider range of products and is now on the rise. SNG comes across as too little too late sadly. I am not a deramper.
ShaunP in the main was a very rational unemotional chap and kept this bb's feet on the ground by pulling together much information, stats and research in the form of spreadsheets gleaned from astute PIs. He kept our feet on the ground. He had retired and invested much of the family silver in NCYT but when it went pear-shaped he, to everyone's amazement, became uncharacteristically bitter and damming re the company's fortunes which dismayed many of us. I believe his last post was removed. I cannot recall if he kept a small holding but it would not surprise me if he still tuned into this bb. I hope he is now at peace with himself as he clearly had a very traumatic experience.
Whilst I admire Porky's enthusiasm and appreciate all his effort and research, I think his countless posts have become counter productive . Many will have been sucked in by his high SP comments and either sold out disilusioned at a big loss or be left with massive worrying losses. May I respectively suggest he reduces his number of post by at least 50% to give some sort of sensible balance to this great bb -- it should not be utterly dominated by one poster. I for one lay far more store on balanced posts from the likes of HarChris, RB invest, Soder, Kareen and Poidster. Let's appreciate the turn round in Nova's fortunes -- I for one would be more than happy wth a year end SP of £7 -£8 -- the rest is icing on the cake.
Good post Obelix. Let's completely forget about the £54 which has done more damage than good I believe. I will be delighted if Nova touches £7 - £8 by the end of the year. There is a fair chance this will happen especially if the DHSC dispute is settled and LFTs are released soon. Our new man may also come up with a few bright ideas once he gets his feet under the table so we have quite a lot to look forward to.
(following yesterday's presentation), the situation re our saliva LFT please. Did I gather it has not been cleared yet? Something was said to the effect that LFTs would not be released whilst the Govt were giving them out free of charge. Saliva tests would be far more acceptable with most folk particulalry children. Another untapped nugget!
.. with many shareholders perhaps a little on the pensive side. Some ripples of excitement with some in anticipation of hopefully good news but one thing is for sure this forum will be buzzing one way or another this time tomorrow. Let's hope it all proves worthwhile and that NCYT has been keeping their powder dry. Something has surely got to give with one of the strangest of AIM experiences as there is so much at stake for many of us.
I do hope tomorrow's Investors' Meeting does not prove an anti climax. I am half expecting a RNS with perhaps news that our saliva LFT has received clearance or an aquisition which would at least give a positive springboard. The icing on the cake would of course be a DHSC settlement. However should it simply prove more jam tomorrow despite an exciting forward view on other fronts, I am not sure it will make a scrap of differentce to the SP bearing in mind the last RNS - talk comes cheap. This meeting may simply have been prompted by the outpouring of angst and sheer frustration from investors giving the BOD no option. Surely Nova must have learned a lesson from all this so I hope something truly mindblowing emerges tomorrow -- an early RNS would surely set the scene.
A friend in Southern Africa has just had his second vaccination (one of the few) -- a Chinese vaccine. Interesting to note there is an expiry date on his card of May 2023. I understan the efficacy of Chinese vaccines is not nearly as good as Pfizer etc so this is rather concerning. The Chinese appear to have considerable influence with the WHO.
... for RNS before Investors' meeting. Had hoped for some good news to set the tone for the meeting as I doubt anything said at meeting will affect the SP. It would not surprise me if gripes from shareholders far outnumber constructive comments. Time will tell. Just hope it proves all worthwhile and that something meaningful emerges.
... if Nova issue a RNS prior to the 18th Aug. Investors' meeting. Many here suspect they will, to whet investors appetites and get us out of this quagmire of a SP. It would not surprise me if we heard some encouraging news tomorrow. I am particularly interested in any US progress.
