Possibly Thornback but as far as I'm concerned that should now only be for phase 2. We've done our bit equity wise for phase 1. Estimated to cost US$10 million, after the placing now leaves US$6.37 million approximately. That should come from our funders.

With that in place we may need to again raise some towards the US$20 million for phase 2 but don't forget we should be producing electricity after stage one and receiving revenue.

This is the thing Graham, it didn't arrive in time to pay for this next 'poles and wires' stage. If it doesn't arrive in time for the next stage we can most likely expect more dilution.

I personally don't think that's very likely because by the time the tender is awarded and the actual transmission cables connected is gonna take a fair bit of time. I expect full funding to be well and truly in place by then. As I said before, if it isn't serious questions need to be asked and heads need to roll.

The thing is 'Arthur' since the flag wavers have departed look who's taken their place. A bunch of persistant derampers constantly knocking the share with dire warnings day in day out. So you and ya mates do us a favour and disappear like the flag wavers. They have to give the 'process' a semblance of credibility. Who else would they have chosen? Did anyone else tender a bid?

The way the various financial sites report buys or sells is one thing but the simple fact is that we could easily have a computerised system whereby they enter each trade as a buy or sell or into a buy or sell column and then there would be no need for interpretation from the Financial sites.

Why don't they do this? Well it's obvious that it's not in their interests to do so. They make money on the spread and they have the ability to control order flow and liquidity easily if they can obscure the real picture of demand and supply. Is it necessary to make an orderly market? I doubt it. The main market seems to work just fine but where there are powerful vested interests don't expect anything to change anytime soon.

Nice confirmatory rns today confirming the licence application for a 300K tonne operation, I kinda wish they'd waited till Monday but never mind, they were obligated I guess. Will give it time to sink in over the weekend at least and I expect renewed buying pressure next week. ****s getting real!

Thx Appiamma good interview, fleshed things out a little bit. Best bit for me was that they've already narrowed down the transmission tenders to a final two and are negotiating a price also that the board for our funding are happy to proceed Subject to their due diligence review. We will probably start to rise back up now in fairly short order, I don't see us wallowing around at this level for long. onwards and upwards!

Brad that's all fine and dandy if you're leaving your money to your children but most of us want to enjoy any rewards ourselves. I will be extremely critical if we get to a stage where we've done all we can regards poles, wires etc. and are still being held up on major funding! In that scenario I think shareholders should call for an EGM and get shot of at least the FD! I hope we don't get to that stage.

Begs the question though, if they could do it now why couldn't they have done this a year ago? I know the answer TG didn't wanted to show good faith and let Botswana sort out the funding but they obviously can't organise the proverbial in a brewery! Should have made this move some time back when the 'imminent' funding never materialised, then we'd already be connected by now. Anyway it is what it is but I definitely think the management have made mistakes.

It could go either way to be honest but whether you like it or not or approve of the closed nature or not it does push this project forward. We said to TG if you can't get funding agreed to push this forward then look for alternative means and he has done exactly that.

We will be looking through the tenders now and the company probably already has a good idea who they want to build our connection. Now we have the funds to make the final selection and let them get cracking! We have a real prospect of becoming a Botswanan energy producer this year in my opinion and that is a tantalising prospect after waiting so long.

MM good summation, you also echoed my thoughts on the message that it sends to those dithering and procrastinating over the larger funding required here. Stump up or we WILL find alternatives.

That wasn't the tender I was talking about Donkey. I was referring to the tenders that have been submitted to build our connection to Serowe. That's why we've raised these funds, to pay the company we select to build the poles and wires. You have your wires crossed.

Also I'd just like to add to what others have said regards your duplicity. I understand this is the market and we're all here to make money but you don't need to go to those lengths to do it. I've always posted my honestly held beliefs no matter what stock I'm in and no matter what their current situation is and I've done alright. You see people ramping and deramping day in and day out but to do it for as long as you have whilst at the same time buying all you can get ya greedy hands on has really left a bad taste in the mouth. I've lost what little respect I had. Let's hope the money makes ya happy!

Well Brad I said that the funding needed to come soon or it would be holding us up but you continued to keep making excuses for the lack of progress on funding. So now the company have taken matters into their own hands but have left ultra loyal investors such as yourself out in the cold. A kick in the teeth and another damning indictment of the snails pace of bureaucracy in Botswana.

However regardless of all that this is a big positive. We will now (as soon as the tender has been awarded to one of the bidders, which we'rein control of) be getting connected to the grid via Serowe. The clause in the rns about funds possibly being used for other purposes leads me to wonder whether this is a move designed to give whatever major funders we're having negotiations with a kick up the backside... in other words get your act together or we'll do this on our own. Then if they suddenly sign an agreement we use these funds elsewhere...
