Never fall in love (with a stock)29 Mar 2021 15:45
I think Brad has committed the cardinal sin of falling in love with a stock or maybe the CEO ;)
It's fine to have full confidence in a stock but the moment you fall in love with it all rational thought processes are suspended as in 'love is blind'.
I know this is your last chance saloon Brad as your other stocks have withered but just because it's your last chance doesn't mean that you shouldn't critically analyse the company and the decisions it makes. In fact, as it's your last meaningful amount of money you should be even more careful and ask the difficult questions when they need asking. If this does go belly up TG and all those other directors will still be fine, will you?
This is meant as genuine advice, please don't take it as a personal attack or 'venomous' towards the company. I'm more optimistic now we have raised money for the transmission line than I have been for a long time but I won't let that stop me from asking the tough questions and criticising the company if I feel they deserve it.
Staying detached when investing isn't easy especially when you're in a stock for years but it's absolutely crucial if you want to survive to fight another day.
