It's "bad nasty dirtywork" as it actually involves making things and not just pushing money around. Just one up the ladder from coal mining.
There won't be much left of the UK construction industry. Still, we can always rely on the French to look after THEIR industries and, when UK construction is no more, they can come over here and give .GOV (i.e. the tax payer) a price for building libraries & hospitals (Carillion - Brum library!!) or other public buildings.
The writing is on the wall for low margin businesses. The shorters have seen through the disguise and it's an easy recipe to make money. It is however, down to bad management.
