I rent out property, due to the fact that they are not mortgaged I do not need to charge the "going rate" and do not increase the rent annually, poor business sense, perhaps but our tenants stay, do not cause problems and are good tenants.

But of course if some politician wants to interfere the rents will go to the "going rate" and up annually.

A court in the Netherlands has decreed that taxing second homes goes against the ECHRs Human Rights act.

The Dutch government must now pay back billions of Euros and of course find another cash cow to milk.

Considering how Labour worship every utterance that comes out from or concerns the ECHRs, it will be interesting to hear what Starmer and mouthy Rayner have to say. And remembering that Starmer was a third rate human rights lawyer, whom championed all things that came under the ECHRs rulings.

Rayner was a poor under nourished little thing, that is why when she became an MP she lost over 4 stone in weight and spent £5 k on a face job.

And those fashionable Dr Martin boots she so loves do not come cheap!

But making £180k flogging their two council homes Rayners to move into a nice large 4 bed detached house well away from their old council estate. Even Labourites do not want to live to close to their voters do they, they go and see them once every 5 years

And wealthy Starmer the ex-land owner is well worth, around £10 million, so he is by his own definition, not a real worker!

I would suggest that we start doing the same , for instance with those diplomats from countries that refuse to take back their illegal immigrants and criminals .

Angela Rayner , said that immigrants and asylum seekers would be on the list to get their grubby little hands on a share of those 1.5 million homes Starmer is going to fund all by himself.

She also said that immigrants would be dispersed around the country! which is lie, legal immigrants could not be forced to live where they did not wish too! On asylum seekers they could be moved to a specific area, but once given the right to stay they could move anywhere they wished. Or is she going full on Soviet Union, with internal passports required to move about the country. 1.5 million homes and immigrants will get more then their fair share, they are Labours future, white old men soon to be followed by white young men are no longer fit for purpose in this twisted country.

According to the most recent register, just under 90 MPs, employ family members, at our expense, so their son/s or daughter/s are the most experienced /qualified to carry out what ever work they do!

And one must assume that those MPs that are married to another MP, can double the number of relatives on the public payroll. They can claim a very substantial amount for employing staff!

A figure in the Labour party said that to de-carbonise the UK would cost hundreds of Billions, not just the £28 billion being banded about. But at least when Labour begin their smash and grab of our money several so calle4d Labour supporters on this site will be over joyed to be made poorer. As Keir said (but never defined) only working people cannot write a cheque.

I could suggest that Labour , do away with MPs expenses allowances in total, or would that be levelling be the field to much. Reduce the payments to the peers in the HoL lords by £100 per day. Or taxing immigrants say £1000 per head for the first ten years that they live here. A couple of ideas for Starmer to consider.

Could lodges and static caravans become targets , they could re-define what constitutes a second home.. To an homeless person a caravan would be a nice home!

£100 per annum for a caravan £500 for a lodge, demonise anyone with more than a tent to sleep under.
