What does RUS mean in mining context -No amount of google searching will tell me, which just goes tok show how dumb people are to use so many acronyms
DATTABASE1 - You are unbelievably ignorant, a dishonest liar & generally a very nasty person posting utter rubbish.
I did know what RUS meant, but I've now forgotten. Despite me wasting at least twenty minutes searching the internet I have had absolutely no luck finding out what it means. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what RUS means please.
I'm completely shocked at the laughably low pay and the way you've been treated & so you absolutely have my support & I can tell you I would be embarrassed to pay you such low wages.
I used to own a restaurant & am thinking of buying one again. When I did own one I made a point of paying all the staff more than other restaurants & I even had one person complain at me and initially refusing a pay rise because he explained he thought I was trying to 'buy him off' as he thought I knew he had been agitating in terms of trade union type issues. I didn't know, couldn't care less & told him with some astonishment that I was giving him a pay rise because I thought he was a spectacularly hard worker & fantastically valuable member of staff.
That restaurant was in another country & I'm now in the uk & astonished at the incredibly bad management of the majority of businesses in this country. And I know the UK is laughed at other countries for the bad reputation it has for terrible management of businesses.
If you can get in touch with me, maybe we could have a serious discussion off this bulletin board.
Which is why I rarely post & no longer wast my time reading either. People who stuff the internet with mindless drivel everywhere you look just disgust me.
Steward1- You have simply proved you are a thick de-ramping moron.
As I'm a person with the benefit of having been educated at schools recognised the World over as generally the best & then spent about fifty years being a journalist, mostly in the business arena, every single day of my life has involved stuffing vast amounts of general knowledge from every area of life into my brain - hugely more so than most people who don't happen to be journalists. And as I've invested in numerous mining shares & PREM itself about six years I'm fairly familiar with the generality of mining & business terminology.
But I'm not sufficiently stupid to reduce language to endless acronyms which is something only very ignorant, illiterate people like yourself do. Only complete fools do that.
I should have indicated the following post was directed mainly at Steward1
People who use acronyms for obscure descriptions/definitions are ignorant, illiterate, irritating fools. What is a 'RUS' - moron.

Well at a potential profit of £100 million a year from digging stuff up at West Kytlim I should imagine most people would clutch at that with glee - unless they are halfwits of course.
It really doesn't matter what the exact figure is & it is a moveable target anyway depending exactly how it is calculated. I did put the word 'About' in to describe the figure as just been merely illustrative - to make my point. The obvious point being is that it is many, many times an increase of the relatively modest West Kytlim value.
If I was a British limited company listed on the London Stock Exchange & owning large shareholdings in Russian companies busy digging up our valuable minerals & doing a deal with the Russian State Owned Rosgeo which is likely to catapult the value of our mineral resources from about $4 billion to about $368 billion ( about 92 times initial value) I would definitely keep very, very quiet right now because of the Ukraine war & potential complications caused by that. Complications could scupper deal making - doh!
Any sale of assets would be kept on hold until the war ended and Putin vanishes - which he will at some point. And it is fairly obvious that in the longer term Russia will eventually return to normal & also learn to become a more civilised member of the modern World & stop thinking & behaving like pre mediaeval brain dead savages.
So at the moment our investment is safe in the longer term unless there is a lurch in the wrong direction. But as things stand it looks more likely with each passing day that it will be Putin lurching off to oblivion of some sort or other & long term pressures of various sorts virtually guarantee Russia is forced to change for the better whether it wants to or not.
Dogefather says - "Western hegemony has created so many problems".
Like what problems, please explain ?
Like what problems has it created - specifically ?
I didn't say BRICS were not important or that they did not represent a large landmass and large percentage of World economy & population. I just said they were run by Mickey Mouse Governments - which they are !!
The Rouble hasn't really recovered at all. All that has happened is cunning Mr Putin has said there are now 5000 Roubles to one gram of gold & as gold is valued in US dollars that appears to peg the Rouble to the US dollar at about 76 Roubles to the US dollar. That means when Putin demands payments for Russian oil & gas exports to Europe he wants payment in Roubles (or gold) at 76 Roubles to the US dollar, whereas without this manipulative jiggery pokery there would be more Roubles required for each dollar. Putin also imagines this plan will bring more gold into Russia.
Is the Rouble pegged to the dollar?
That means Russia has effectively ratcheted up its currency's value against the dollar by pegging it to gold. If, 1 gram of gold is bound to 5000 rubles, then according to Western standards, the ruble must be valued at 70-75 units against 1 dollar.31 Ma
https://www.dw.com/en/putin-tactics-drive-rebound-in-russian-ruble/a-61363334
This is as false a valuation of the Rouble as Putin's childishly pathetic lies about Ukraine really causing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and that Russia has carefully made sure the invading bunch of thuggish Russian soldiers absolutely have not been killing huge numbers of Ukraine civilians.
So, in the long run pretending the Rouble is worth more than it really is just won't work at all.
Just like even a Half-Wit with only one brain cell can see that even if Russia finally gained complete control (victory) over all of Ukraine, the whole enterprise is doomed to fall flat on it's face and never, ever amount to any kind of benefit to Russia at all.
In fact should such a scenario occur it seems certain it would guarantee a seismic change for the whole of Russia as the continuous World wide pressures & the Russian population eventually finding out just how evil & destructive Putin & his cronies are make it pretty much a certainty that Putin & the bunch of gangsters supporting him will end up dead or in Prison & the whole Russian population will finally be dragged out of their primitive and backward ignorance and into the real World of the 21st Century everyone else now lives in.

I would describe all these BRICS countries as Mickey Mouse countries all of whom are unreliable & run very, very badly by truly dreadful Governments and all posing various threats to World stablity - as Russia is now demonstrating.
Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS)

BRICS is an acronym for the combined economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa
https://www.gov.za/events/fifth-brics-summit-general-background
What is BRICS?
BRICS is an acronym for the powerful grouping of the world’s leading emerging market economies, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
The BRICS mechanism aims to promote peace, security, development and cooperation. It also aims at contributing significantly to the development of humanity and establishing a more equitable and fair world.
The first BRIC Summit took place in Yekateringburg, Russia, where the elected leaders of the four countries formally declared the membership of the BRIC economic bloc. South Africa was invited to join the bloc in December 2010, resulting in BRICS.
BRICS has since its inception had a positive effect on the international system. BRICS countries have individually emerged to assume new economic rankings.
In 2010,China became the second-biggest economy in the world.
India currently stands as the 10th-largest economy in gross domestic product (GDP) in nominal terms, and is the fourth-largest economy in terms of GDP at Purchasing Power Parity (PPP).
In 2011, Brazil became the world’s sixth-largest economy.
Russia is currently the ninth-biggest economy and South Africa is ranked as the 26th-largest economy.
BRICS countries coordinate on their positions and actions in international organisations, as seen in the United Nations.
In the midst of the current global economic crisis, many countries in the world are looking to BRICS members as the new locomotives for global economic growth to provide renewed impetus to global economic cooperation. For example, BRICS trade and investment with low-income countries have served as a major support system in the wake of the global financial crisis (International Monetary Fund[IMF] Study).

The post below was in response to your post about EUA not having problems because of the war in Ukraine as EUA is selling to entities outside of Russia (BRICS).
Do you mean that the mined PGM metals EUA dig up are sold into the Russian domestic market for US dollars based on the London Metal Exchange price ? That is how your post reads, so I'm just asking for confirmation I've got that correct as so many posts by people here are incoherent, sometimes entirely illiterate and incomprehensible.
And if you confirm I've got you correctly, then I have to say I think EUA DOES HAVE A BIG PROBLEM as Russia is going to run out of dollars to pay anyone for anything because of the sanctions. The only currency Russia is likely to possess soon will be worthless Rubles.
On the other hand it may be that EUA is able to offer the Russian Government an opportunity to bring US dollars into Russia if the PGMs are taken out of Russia by EUA to be sold for US dollars outside of Russia, providing there is a mechanism for EUA to get some of those dollars back into Russia. And as I type this I can think of how that could easily be done even when sanctions exist; so if I can see a way of doing it Im sure EUA & the Russian Government won't have a problem either. Hopefully.

so what has happened to all of today's posts ?
Hurtle....... you posted-
@tillywhiz - your delusions would be laughable if they weren't so tragic.
The relentless posting of your MSM programmed view of the conflict in Ukraine is a mental crutch that ................The Ukraine military are holding citizens hostage as human shields while they position themselves around them, forcing collateral damage...............there are dozens of videos of escapees reaching the russian forces and cursing the ukraine army for killing civilians for wanting to leave, ..................How anyone can fall for the useless faked 'atrocities' where there's only a few seconds video and a few staged photos and no real time footage after the event, with posed actors with perfect injury make up
What particular drug is causing your delusions ? Cannabis, Crystal Meth, Ketamine , Cocaine or Acid ?
Or are you just a really, really nasty, evil person, brainwashed by the worst sort of human scum like Putin, for instance ?
